Download and launch the Temple Wallet extension on your new device

You can download Temple Wallet from most official browser extension stores. After installation, open it from the Extensions menu or simply click its icon in the toolbar (if you pinned it during setup).

2. On the welcome screen, click Continue with Google

This button starts the Google sign-in flow. The extension will automatically look for a specific folder on your Google Drive that contains your encrypted seed phrase file — a file it already has permission to read.

3. Select the Google account you want to use for the import/backup

A new window will open showing all Google accounts signed in to your browser:

  • If you’re restoring an existing wallet, choose the account that already has your Temple Wallet backup stored on its Google Drive.
  • If you’re creating a completely new wallet, just pick any Google account. The backup will be created automatically right after you set your wallet password.
💡
If the selected account doesn’t yet have a Temple Wallet backup, the wallet will treat it as a fresh setup and will upload the new encrypted seed phrase to that Google Drive as soon as the process is complete.

4. Wait while Temple Wallet scans Google Drive for the backup folder

You’ll see a couple of Google permission screens — just click Continue on both to finish authorization.

💡
If you’re creating a new wallet, one of the screens will ask permission to create the backup folder on your Drive agree to it, then click Continue as usual.

5. Enter the wallet password you created when you first set up the wallet, or set a new password for your brand-new wallet

This password decrypts the seed phrase stored on Google Drive. Once decrypted, the clean seed phrase will be used to restore your wallet on-chain.

6. Сreate a new password if you want – or click Use backup password to keep the old one

This step only appears when restoring an existing wallet. It’s up to you — a new, easier-to-remember password will make future logins (e.g., when the wallet is locked) much smoother.

7. Click Import Wallet

That’s it! Right after clicking Import Wallet, you’ll land on the main dashboard with all your funds and full functionality restored.

Conclusion

By following these simple steps, you’ve successfully restored your Temple Wallet using nothing more than your Google account – no need to dig up a written-down seed phrase or worry about losing access when switching devices or browsers.

Being able to recover a wallet quickly and securely is one of the reasons Temple Wallet stands out in the Tezos ecosystem (and beyond). The Google Drive backup option combines rock-solid encryption with real everyday convenience, so you’re never more than a few clicks away from your assets — even if your computer crashes or you move to a new machine. Fast, private, non-custodial, and genuinely user-friendly — that’s Temple Wallet at its best. Enjoy your restored wallet and happy DeFi!

6. Click on the Get started button

The process of revealing the Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase) is a little bit complicated in the MetaMask extension. This process requires a few additional steps, and we will guide you through them.

You need to complete the Security quiz to reveal the Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase) in the MetaMask extension.

💡
Never share your seed phrase or enter it into any malicious application. It grants full access to your wallet.

7. Click on the Can't help you button

The first question of the Security quiz in the MetaMask wallet is: "If you lose your Secret Recovery Phrase, MetaMask..." and you need to complete the sentence with one of the following options:

  • Can get it back for you
  • Can't help you

The correct answer is the "Can't help you" option. Because neither MetaMask nor Temple Wallet stores your Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase). Your Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase) is stored ONLY locally on your device, and nobody besides you has access to it.

8. Click on the Continue button

Congratulation! It is a correct answer, so now you are greeted with the correct answer:

💡
Right! No one can help get your Secret Recovery Phrase back.
💡
Write your Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase) down, engrave it on metal, or keep it in multiple secret spots so you never lose it. If you lose it, it's gone forever.

And the first of two Security quiz questions is completed. Only one to go!

9. Click on the You're being scammed button

The second question of the Security quiz in the MetaMask wallet is: "If anyone, even a support agent, asks for your Secret Recovery Phrase..." and you need to complete the sentence with one of the following options:

  • You're being scammed
  • You should give it to them

The correct answer is the "You're being scammed" option. Because nobody should ever ask you to share your Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase).

💡
ONLY you should be in order to decide how to store it secretly and which wallets to use with your Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase).

Your Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase) will also be secured in your new Temple Wallet. We also store your Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase) ONLY locally, and ONLY you can access it in the Temple Wallet.

10. Click on the Continue button

Congratulation! It is a correct answer, so now you are greeted with the correct answer:

💡
Correct! Sharing your Secret Recovery Phrase is never a good idea.
💡
Anyone claiming to need your Secret Recovery Phrase is lying to you. If you share it with them, they will steal your assets.

We also want to emphasize that you should never share your Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase) with any random person who asks you for it.

💡
Our Temple Wallet support will NEVER ask you about your Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase)!

If anyone asks you about it, it is a scammer who wants to impersonate either the Temple Wallet or MetaMask support team to steal your assets from your wallet!

And the second of two Security quiz questions is completed. Now you can proceed to reveal your Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase).

11. Enter your password and click on the Next button

Enter your wallet password and click on the Next button to proceed to the last step before revealing your Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase).

💡
Make sure no one is looking at your screen. MetaMask and Temple Wallet Support will NEVER request your Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase).

13. Write down or click on the Copy to clipboard button

Now you are able to see your Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase), and you have two options on how to transfer it to the Temple Wallet.

  • Write it down on a piece of paper.
  • Click on the Copy to clipboard button to copy it to the clipboard of your device.

The easiest way and much less secure way is to copy it to the clipboard, because your Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase) can be stored in the clipboard until you reboot your MAC or PC.

The longer but much safer way is to write your Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase) down on a piece of paper and then manually retype it into the Temple Wallet.

The requirements for your password are listed below:

  • 8 characters
  • At least one number
  • Special character
  • At least one capital letter
  • At least one lowercase letter

Conclusion

Successfully importing your MetaMask wallet into Temple Wallet, as detailed in this step-by-step guide, unlocks a more unified and versatile crypto management experience. By following the process of revealing your Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase) securely within MetaMask and importing it into Temple Wallet, you gain access to your existing assets and addresses directly through the Temple interface.

This process is particularly powerful now that Temple Wallet operates as a robust multichain wallet. It seamlessly supports both the Tezos blockchain and various EVM-compatible blockchains (like Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Etherlink, etc.), the native environment for MetaMask accounts. This means you can conveniently manage your Tezos and EVM assets side-by-side within a single, user-friendly wallet. Migrating or consolidating your wallet access using your Secret Recovery Phrase allows you to leverage Temple Wallet's features across multiple ecosystems without needing to juggle different applications constantly.

Key Takeaways for Importing Your MetaMask Wallet:

  1. Safety First: Your Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase) is the master key to your funds. The security steps within MetaMask (like the quiz and password entry) are there for your protection. Never share your Secret Recovery Phrase with anyone, website, or application you don't trust implicitly. Neither MetaMask nor Temple Wallet support can ever recover it for you if it is lost.
  2. Non-Custodial Control: Both MetaMask and Temple Wallet are non-custodial, meaning you alone control your keys and funds. Importing your phrase to a Temple Wallet allows you to access and manage your blockchain accounts through the robust and easy-to-use Temple interface.
  3. Multichain Advantage: Importing your EVM-based MetaMask account into the multichain Temple Wallet streamlines managing diverse crypto portfolios, encompassing both Tezos and popular EVM networks.
  4. Follow Steps Carefully: Whether you choose to copy-paste (less secure) or manually type (more secure) your Secret Recovery Phrase, accuracy is crucial during the import process into Temple Wallet. Ensure you select the correct phrase length (usually 12 words for MetaMask defaults).

By completing this import, you're now equipped to explore the full potential of Temple Wallet's multichain capabilities using your familiar MetaMask accounts. This integration simplifies interactions with dApps across supported blockchains and provides a consolidated view of your digital assets, all while maintaining the highest security standards through careful handling of your Secret Recovery Phrase. Enjoy a smoother, more integrated Web3 journey with Temple Wallet!

💡
For now, the EVM is ONLY available in the extension. Stay tuned for the mobile release of the EVM support in the Temple Wallet. BUT, you CAN use the EVM on your mobile by installing the Temple Wallet in the mobile browser that supports PC extensions such as Mises browser.

Successfully managing your network connections is essential for a smooth experience in the increasingly interconnected world of blockchain, and Temple Wallet makes this process intuitive. As Temple Wallet embraces its role as a versatile multichain wallet, supporting both the robust Tezos ecosystem and a wide range of EVM-compatible blockchains (such as Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Avalanche, Etherlink, and others), the ability to customize your active network list becomes even more valuable. Disabling networks you don't actively use can help declutter your interface, prevent accidental transactions on the wrong chain, and allow you to focus solely on the blockchains relevant to your current crypto activities, be it DeFi, NFTs, or dApp interactions.

Remember, this action is easily reversible; you can re-enable any network whenever needed by navigating back to the Network Settings. This flexibility underscores Temple Wallet's commitment to providing a user-friendly yet powerful platform for managing your diverse digital assets across multiple blockchain networks. Conclusion

Effectively managing your connections within the Temple Wallet is straightforward, and this guide has detailed the precise steps for deleting networks you no longer need. As Temple Wallet embraces its role as a powerful multichain wallet, supporting both the Tezos ecosystem and a growing range of EVM blockchains (like Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Etherlink, and more), keeping your network list organized becomes increasingly important for a seamless user experience.

Following the procedure outlined above – navigating through the Menu icon to Settings, then Networks, selecting the specific custom network, and confirming its removal – allows you to easily delete unwanted networks from your Temple Wallet interface. Remember, this process is specifically for removing custom networks that you have added manually. Default networks integrated by Temple cannot be deleted using this method, though they can often be disabled if needed.

By periodically deleting unused custom networks, you declutter your wallet, streamline your workflow, and ensure you are connecting only to the blockchains relevant to your current activities. Whether you need to remove a testnet or an outdated EVM network configuration or simply clean up your list, the ability to delete networks in the Temple Wallet provides essential control over your multichain environment. Keep this guide handy for efficient network management within your versatile Temple Wallet.

Conclusion

Successfully managing your digital assets involves keeping your wallet interface organized and relevant to your needs. This guide has walked you through the simple process of deleting a token within the Temple Wallet interface. By accessing the tokens management section via the settings icon, you can easily remove unwanted or unused tokens from your main view using the bin icon.

A key takeaway is that this action only hides the token from the Temple Wallet user interface; it does not remove the token balance from your actual wallet address on the blockchain. Your assets remain securely associated with your address. This feature is particularly useful for decluttering your view, especially now that Temple Wallet functions as a versatile multichain wallet, supporting assets across both Tezos and various EVM blockchains (like Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Etherlink, etc.).

Whether you're managing Tezos-based tokens (FA1.2, FA2) or EVM-based tokens (ERC-20, etc.), the process remains consistent. Remember, if you ever need to view or interact with a token you've previously deleted from the interface, you can easily re-add it using its contract address through the token management settings, as detailed in our guide on adding custom tokens.

Mastering token management features like deleting or hiding tokens allows you to customize your Temple Wallet experience, ensuring a cleaner, more focused overview of the assets you interact with most frequently across multiple blockchain ecosystems. This simple housekeeping task enhances usability and puts you in full control of your multichain crypto portfolio display within the Temple Wallet.

Conclusion

Mastering how to hide tokens in your Temple Wallet is a simple yet powerful way to personalize and declutter your digital asset portfolio. As this guide demonstrates, the process involves easily navigating to the tokens management section via the settings icon within your Temple Wallet Extension and toggling the visibility for specific tokens. Whether you're looking to hide USDT or any other custom token to streamline your main wallet screen, Temple Wallet provides intuitive controls.

This feature is particularly useful given Temple Wallet's robust multichain capabilities, supporting both the Tezos ecosystem and various EVM blockchains (like Ethereum, Polygon, BSC, Etherlink, and more). As you add more diverse assets from different networks, the ability to hide tokens you don't need to see frequently becomes essential for efficient crypto asset management. It allows you to focus on the tokens that matter most to you at any given time, simplifying your interaction with the wallet.

Remember the key limitation: gas tokens (such as XTZ on Tezos or Etherlink, ETH on Ethereum, MATIC on Polygon, etc.), which are essential for network transactions, cannot be hidden from your main wallet view. This ensures you always have visibility over the native assets required for network fees.

By following the steps outlined – accessing settings, untoggling the desired token's switch, and verifying the change – you gain greater control over your wallet's interface. Hiding tokens doesn't remove them from your wallet; it simply adjusts their visibility on the primary screen, contributing to a cleaner, more organized, and personalized Temple Wallet experience across all supported Tezos and EVM chains. This customization is a core part of effectively managing your crypto journey with Temple Wallet.

Conclusion

Mastering the token filtering feature is a crucial step towards efficient portfolio management within the versatile Temple Wallet. This guide has walked you through the straightforward process of customizing your asset view by selecting specific blockchain networks, ensuring you only see the tokens relevant to your current focus.

As Temple Wallet embraces its role as a powerful multichain solution, supporting both the Tezos network and a growing range of EVM-compatible blockchains (such as BSC Mainnet, Ethereum, Polygon, Etherlink, and others), the ability to filter tokens by network becomes indispensable. This functionality significantly enhances wallet organization, providing a cleaner, more focused view of your digital assets across different ecosystems.

Instead of navigating a potentially long list combining tokens from all supported networks, you can easily isolate assets from a single chain, like BSC Mainnet, as shown in our example, or switch back to the All Networks view whenever needed. This targeted approach reduces clutter, prevents confusion, and allows for quicker interaction with the specific tokens you intend to manage.

By following the simple steps – clicking the filter icon, choosing the All Networks option to reveal the network list, selecting your preferred network (e.g., BSC Mainnet, Tezos, Etherlink, etc.), and verifying the change – you gain precise control over your wallet's display. Remember to click the filter icon again to close the menu and apply your selection.

Utilizing the network filter feature empowers you to navigate your diverse crypto portfolio within the Temple Wallet extension with greater clarity and efficiency. It's an essential tool for anyone actively engaging with multiple blockchain networks through Temple Wallet, making asset management simpler and more intuitive in a multichain environment.

Conclusion

Following the steps outlined above, you can easily remove an account from your Temple Wallet interface. This process helps you manage your digital assets more effectively by decluttering your account list within the wallet extension. Whether you're streamlining your view or simply hiding an unused account, the procedure involves navigating to the Accounts management section via the gear icon, selecting the specific account, and confirming the removal with your wallet password.

It's crucial to remember that removing an account in Temple Wallet does not delete the account from the blockchain. As a versatile multichain wallet supporting both Tezos and various EVM chains (like Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Etherlink, etc.), Temple Wallet only removes the account's data from your local installation. Your account address, transaction history, and balances remain permanently recorded and accessible on its respective blockchain (Tezos or EVM).

This distinction is vital: the removal is purely from the wallet's display and local storage. You are not deleting your blockchain account itself, which is impossible. This also means that if you need to access the account again in the future, you can easily reimport your removed account back into Temple Wallet using its private key or seed phrase.

Successfully managing your accounts within the Temple Wallet extension ensures a clean and organized experience as you interact with the Tezos and EVM ecosystems. This simple removal process offers flexibility without compromising the permanent nature of your blockchain assets. Keep your wallet secure, manage your accounts efficiently, and leverage Temple Wallet's capabilities across multiple blockchains.
