Google Analytics Goals setup
The next step is to create Custom Goals in Google Analytics so that Tomi.ai can send data after the ML model training step.
Tomi.ai sends seven types of events to Google Analytics. To use these conversions in optimization, you’ll need to create custom goals for them. It won’t take you long.
Here are conversions that you need to create:
| № | Conversion Name | Action | Сonversion type | Definition |
| 1 | Contact (Tomi) | tomi_contact | Online conversion | Aggregates all collected emails and phone numbers into one conversion signal |
| 2 | Lead (Tomi) | tomi_lead | Offline conversion
from feeds |
Shows collected qualified leads |
| 3 | Sales (Tomi) | tomi_sales | Offline conversion
from feeds |
Shows converted transaction with the sales amount |
| 4 | Contact dCR (Tomi) | tomi_contact_dcr | Аuxiliary predictive conversion | The expected probability of conversion to contact |
| 5 | Lead dCR (Tomi) | tomi_lead_dcr | Auxiliary predictive conversion | The expected probability of conversion to a qualified lead |
| 6 | Order dCR (Tomi) | tomi_order_dcr | Auxiliary predictive conversion | The expected probability of conversion to a transaction |
| 7 | Sales dLTV (Tomi) | tomi_sales_dltv | The main predictive conversion | The expected sales amount from the website traffic |
Let’s look at the creation process using the Sales dLTV (Tomi) synthetic conversion target as an example:
To add a Custom Goal follow this steps:
- Go to the Admin section of Google Analytics
- Click the VIEW column.
- Select Goals
- Click “+ NEW GOAL”
- Select “Custom” in Goal setup
- Specify the Name of the Goal according to the table above. For example “Sales dLTV (Tomi)”

- Category: Equals to Tomi,
- Action: Equals to X. For example “tomi_sales_dltv”
- Label: leave unchanged
- Value: leave unchanged
- Turn On “Use the event value as the Goal Value for the conversion” toggle
- Click “Save”.
You have to add overall 7 custom goals and each goal has its own Name and Action value, other settings remain equal.
