# Introduction

The work on various Zero artefacts has started almost a decade ago, back then based on other technology stacks. At the current point in time, Zero mainnet (standalone), Zero Testnet and the Zero Canary Parachain on Kusama operate with substrate sdk at their core. This enables us to operate in many ways and build tailormade networks for specific use cases on all layers:
