I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Maryland. My primary advisor is Dr. Colin Phillips. I am also closely working with Dr. Naomi Feldman and Dr. Sol Lago on various projects.

I am interested in how our brain constructs linguistic structures and form representations in real-time and what cognitive mechanisms underlie language acquisition and processing. I use a combination of behavioral and computational methods to investigate these questions.

Before joining the Linguistics department, I completed an MA in Second Language Acquisition at the University of Maryland and a BA in English Language Education with a dual focus in Data Science for the Humanities at Seoul National University, South Korea. During my time at SNU, I was a member of the Brain and Humanities Lab, where I gained experience in language science research using EEG/ERPs and eye-tracking.
