Welcome to EmberHacks! The highlight of this event is of course, the hackathon itself! However, that's not all! You will have plenty of time to network with others as the weekend passes by, and food will be served throughout the event (free-of-charge). And finally, there are workshops on Saturday (schedule), open to all students including non-hackers! The general guidelines are as follows below:

Team Formation:

  • Teams must consist of 2-4 members. If you do not have a team, please visit find-your-team and we will help address issues on a case-by-case basis.
  • Members must be of 18+ in age. We have collected this information during registration, but please verify to avoid issues.
  • You must present with all group members during the judging period on Sunday.

General Rules:

  1. We encourage a respectful and inclusive culture.
  2. Do not spam the server.
  3. No NSFW/18+ content.
  4. EmberHacks is not responsible for technical issues, data loss, nor loss of personal belongings.
  5. Hacking must not begin before the start time.
  6. Submissions must contain original content. You may use online tools, openly licensed APIs and SDKs for your project.
  7. Whether you are sleeping on-site overnight or returning back home, ensure you have made the appropriate arrangements for yourself.
  8. Upon conclusion of hacking, all projects must have be submitted. Please give yourself a time buffer to prevent late submissions.
  9. The decision of the judges is final.

Breaking any of the rules above may lead to a warning or immediate disqualification, depending on the circumstances.
