Proposal Support

We offer hands-on support through services such as reviews and workshops, providing guidance on project concept and structure, consortium building, writing a strong Impact section and other strategies to ensure a top-scoring proposal.

Since the start of Horizon Europe, we have supported over 200 proposals at all stages of proposal development. We tailor our support services to match your requirements – get in touch to discuss your options.

S1: Funding & Ecosystem Mapping

Through workshops and mentoring, we guide researchers to assess and prioritise funding opportunities, identify key consortium partners, and develop strategies to maximise funding success.

S2: Concept Note Review

Developing a clear project concept note is a crucial first step in Horizon Europe proposal preparation. We provide a tailored concept note template, covering project structure, objectives, consortium composition, and impact pathways, which is thoroughly reviewed by our team, providing detailed written feedback and actionable recommendations.

S3: Project Design Workshop

This interactive brainstorming workshop brings together a group of core researchers to develop a strong, targeted project design that aligns with their chosen call topic. Our team facilitates a structured process to refine ideas, ensuring they meet the scope and expected outcomes of the call topic and create a robust project design, forming the basis for building your proposal.

S4: Impact Pathways Workshop

This interactive workshop is designed to place impact at the centre of your proposal development. Our team facilitates an interactive workshop with your consortium to brainstorm and develop robust impact pathways that align with the expected outcomes of your call topic, laying the foundation for the Impact Section.

S5: Full Proposal Review

Two members of our expert team provide an extensive review of your complete proposal draft, assessing it as an evaluator would, and ensuring alignment with the call topic and official requirements. The coordination team will receive detailed written feedback with specific recommendations and examples to improve clarity, structure, and coherence. A final feedback meeting ensures all questions and queries are answered.

S6: Proposal Development & Coordination Support

This comprehensive support assists coordinating teams through every stage of Horizon Europe proposal development — from concept design to submission. Our support includes project management, partner recruitment, role negotiation, responsibilities delegation, text drafting, budget development and participant portal management. We offer tailored templates, facilitate consortium calls, and assist in gathering and refining inputs, providing strategic guidance and mentorship throughout the entire process.

S7: Project Implementation Support (Post-award)

Once your project is funded, we can provide hands-on mentoring and support to help establish effective project management systems, ensuring a successful project kick-off. Our support can continue throughout the project lifecycle, helping you meet reporting milestones, maintain compliance, and ensure the success of your project at every stage.

We have trained over 1,200 individuals across Europe through our 50+ tailored courses. Our trainings and workshops utilise engaging presentations, practical examples, and hands-on exercises to empower you and your team.

Our modules can be tailored to meet the specific needs of attendees and are always delivered by two expert trainers, either in-person or online.

For our Pillar II proposal writers, take a look at our online, self-paced Proposal Writing Bootcamp. With approximately 6 hours of content, this course can be completed – anytime, anywhere. T1: Expand Your Horizons

“Expand Your Horizons” is the perfect course to start your Horizon Europe journey and unlock funding opportunities that best match you.

Course Objectives:

• Gain a clear understanding of Horizon Europe collaborative projects and their role in supporting your research.

• Effectively navigate Horizon Europe Work Programmes and the Funding & Tenders Portal.

• Build confidence in identifying the right funding opportunities.

• Understand the key processes, timelines, and requirements for successful Pillar II applications.

T2: Design. Recruit. Build.

Turning your idea into a successful Horizon Europe proposal requires precision and strategic planning from the very start.

“Design. Recruit. Build.” is the ideal course for researchers who have already selected a call topic and are beginning the process of designing their Horizon Europe project.

Course Objectives:

• Respond fully to the call topic using a detailed call topic analysis methodology.

• Select and recruit the right partners for a well-rounded and impactful consortium.

• Design a comprehensive and coherent project using ERINN Innovation’s concept note template.

T3: Impact Pathways

Maximise the impact potential of your Horizon Europe proposal through ERINN Innovation’s expert-driven and interactive course.

Course Objectives:

• Develop credible, actionable Impact Pathways integrating these considerations into the project design.

• Incorporate the ‘language’ of impact throughout your proposal to enhance clarity and relevance.

• Identify appropriate target users and dissemination mechanisms for your results.

T4a: Proposal Writing Bootcamp: Live (Online or in-person)

Delivered in real time, either online or in-person, this course dives deep into the structure of Pillar II proposals, provides a strategy for responding to the template, and advises you on how to craft your Part B for maximum impact and evaluation scores.

Course Objectives:

• Get examples for every subsection and master the content requirements — Excellence, Impact, and Implementation.

• Learn to communicate your proposal with clarity, conviction, and impact.

• Gain insight into the application process from the evaluator’s perspective.

• Identify and avoid common pitfalls that can cost you vital marks in your proposal.

T4b: Proposal Writing Bootcamp: Online, Self-Paced
