On 5 March, a new package of eight programmes helping Ukraine tackle the country’s most urgent economic and social challenges was endorsed by the sixth Steering Board of the Ukraine Investment Framework (UIF).

The financing is provided under the EBRD’s Youth in Business Caucasus programme and is the first transaction under that programme in Georgia. It will increase access to finance for private youth-led MSMEs, helping young business owners to start, grow and formalise their businesses.

Brussels, 3 March 2026 – Representatives of the European Commission, national governments, international financial institutions, development banks and private sector partners gathered in Brussels for the EU4Business General Assembly, reviewing progress in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the Eastern Partnership region and discussing priorities for the coming years.

The EBRD has provided a senior multi-currency loan of up to a €20 million equivalent to NBFC Microinvest LLC, Moldova’s largest non-bank lending institution. The financing will be used for on-lending to local private MSMEs, helping to strengthen Moldova’s private sector.
