Kantian morality focuses on rationality, where rationality often means the ability to create systems of rules based on your actions. The most common example being that lying is immoral always, because if everyone lied the very concept of lying and truth would unravel. If every single person lied about everything, no one would believe anything anyone said, and therefore the very concept of lying would be pointless. Lying is therefore not in accordance with rationality itself, and immoral to do as an individual action.
This often results in rules where you can't make an exception for yourself, that you wouldn't use for others. For example, pretty much everyone would use milk closer to expiration if they were the only one using the milk. "First in first out" is the rational way to allocate resources, for the reasons the comic shows. But when multiple people access the same resource, people become selfish and go against the rule that makes sense. This kind of reasoning is the heart of Kant's system.
