Love hearing all the episodes! Being from the Black Hills this episode resonated with me because it’s easy to look at all the big mountian ranges and get jealous or think “if only…” but why not be like Andrew Drummond and make the most of where you!

I’ve now listened to every episode and loved em all! Missing getting new episodes for 2020.

Sure did! Riding in the Sportiva Baruntses isn’t half bad. That’s all I used for a couple of years with my split for the ease of blending mountaineering objectives with a descent and the sake of using boots I already had. I’ve since switched to Fitwell backcountry boots for bigger objectives when I need something versatile for climbing with semi-auto crampons and riding. But these worked alright!

I’ve never had an issue with it freezing. Generally after going (if I’m somewhere very cold where this could happen), I’ll actually place the bottle in the foot box of my sleeping bag. It works like a hot water bottle to add heat inside the bag and it won’t freeze in there either!

What happens if the urine freezes overnight? How do you prevent that? Should your store it upside-down so that ice collects at the bottom?
