Outperformance in yield (alpha) is only part of the equation. Risk, volatility and asset correlation (beta) also matter when doing portfolio construction.

I’m so happy I clicked on that little cave! I would have missed out on so much if I hadn’t.

The timing for this particular blog post is eerily perfect. I’m in the middle of creating my own business/website and came here to study Wait But Why because it is my all-time FAVOURITE website. (Not gonna steal ideas; don’t worry.) Tim Urban is my role model for writing in a voice that is authentic and fun. He is my antidote when fear creeps in and tells me I need to sound serious and impressive. (Translation: boring.)

And what do I see immediately after clicking on that little cave?

A pep talk about creating a business and NOT NEEDING IT TO BE PERFECT!

My inner Perfectionist who panics and stops me from doing things, REALLY NEEDED TO HEAR THIS right at this EXACT MOMENT IN TIME. (Cue mystical music.) So this means, obvi, that you, Andrew Finn, are a messenger from the gods. (Cue celestial music.)
