SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
THE TOPIC IS...build a tool that helps raise awareness and educate people on the changing climate of our planet
Your submission can be any project you develop through code during FireHacks. This could be a website, app, or something entirely different. We encourage you to push boundaries and explore new ideas. Projects don’t need to be fully polished, but we’d love to see your best efforts. Below are the submission guidelines:
Start Date & Time:
Participants (individuals or teams of up to 3) must begin coding their project on November 14th, 2024, at the start of the opening ceremony. All entries must be submitted via Devpost by November 28th, 2024, no later than 5:00 PM (CST). We understand that technical issues may occur, so deadline extensions will only be considered for verified technical difficulties. The topic will be released November 14th 5:00 PM (CST).
Project Demo:
Every submission should include a 2-3 minute video clearly demonstrating the project. The video should cover what the project does, the building process, highlight any unique features, and how it demonstrates / is the best representation of the topic.
Submission Details on Devpost:
Submissions must include brief responses (1-2 sentences) for the Devpost questions. We don’t need a lengthy essay, but please provide a concise description of your project's inspiration, the problem it addresses, and the technologies used.
Original Work:
All work must be your team’s original creation. Projects that were started before the hackathon or include non-original code will be disqualified.
