Hi, Mary! There’s no federal restriction on money order hours — several businesses offer 24/7 money order services. However, it’s possible that he misspoke and was thinking of a state law regulating money order sales, or that he misunderstood the company’s policy. Regardless, I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience and hope you were able to get your money order eventually!

The clerk said it was to late and I could come back at 6am. I inquired why do you not sell after 10 pm. He informed me that it was federal law. I questioned that explanation. I told him I believe it’s store policy and not federal law because other places do sell after 10 p.m. He was very rude and defensive and said they can go to prison for doing that. I believe he was informed. Am I right?

Hi, Nancy! The required notice and timeline of the repossession process vary depending on your state’s laws. Which state are you in? If you don’t believe the lender is following your state’s laws, it’s best to contact a local attorney or your state’s consumer protection agency for help. I hope you’re able to resolve the situation quickly and easily!

Like everybody else, I had some unexpected things come up that i had to use my payment for. I have advised the local office that I can pay this Thursday (4-4-24) but they are telling me that they have my car scheduled for pickup. Can they legally do this without notifying me and especially since this is my first time being late. I thought i would have 20 days to get this caught up.

Marcie, that sounds like a frustrating experience. Were you able to speak with a manager at the store? It might be worthwhile to visit again or call the store and ask to speak with the manager. You can also try contacting Wendy’s at (888) 624-8140 or Dollar General’s corporate customer service line at (800) 678-9258. I hope you’re able to resolve the issue with your gift card!

They refused to load the card, I am out the money. I was told call number on back of card, no number on back of card….They are telling me it’s a 50-50 chance. If the card does not get loaded properly, I’m just SOL….??? This have never happened before. The Dollar General in essence just stole my money!

I’m asking because they repoed my car at like 2-4 am when I was asleep. I aware I fell behind my payments and want to know why exactly it was repossessed. I’m still missing miscellaneous items that were in the car and the towing and creditor failed to give me back my keys that were on the ring with the key fob. Meaning I had post office box keys and house keys and other important items. I’m being honest and civil about this and hope someone contacts me ASAP. If this is the wrong website please let me know thank you.
