Dear Forest and Cristina, I am so very sorry for your loss. I am just seeing this today as i was searching to find your contact info – and am heartbroken for you. He sounded like an amazing kid. We all know how hard it is to keep our kids safe in this crazy world while letting them find themselves and their own paths. He seems to have enlightened the world with his special voice and though he is no longer here, it seems that he certainly had made an impact for many others with his light. I send deepest condolences and much love to your family.

To paraphrase the Buddhist thinker, Shunryu Suzuki:
The stream that comes to the waterfall is one body of water.
when it goes over the edge, it separates into unique drops
and each, as it travels through the air, seems as a separate entity.
At the end it rejoins the stream and is one with it again.
our individual lives are like this, we are born, live our life and, in the end,
join back into the bigger stream of life.
I like to think that our loved ones who have moved past this life,
have merely rejoined a bigger stream.
