Extend the length of the breadcrumbs Hello,
Is it possible to extend the length of the breadcrumbs as displayed on the Next Actions and Day Planner screens? They are cut off and difficult to read.

This screenshot is on a widescreen monitor with the window maximized:
2026-01-06_10-46-23

Also, I seem to remember that clicking on a breadcrumb used to take you to that task/project but now it just takes you to the Overview screen. It would be helpful to have it take you directly to the task or its parent item.

Thanks!

Potential Bug with Start Date Hi Sergio,

Sorry, I may not have been clear. I understand that actions with a start date in the future do not display in Next Actions, and I like that functionality.

But what I’m struggling with is that the action that appears immediately after the action with the future start date gets flagged as a Next Action, which I would not expect.

Potential Bug with Start Date Hello,

The action with the future start date is not displayed in the Next Action list. It feels logical, that the action is not doable when it’s start date is in the future.
As a possible solution for your issue I can suggest that if the whole project has a start date in the future, actions from it do not appear in the Next Actions list.
Does it sound good?

Potential Bug with Start Date Hello,
I’m not sure if this is by design, but I’ve noticed recently that when I have multiple actions under a project and I set a start date on one action, the following action in the list gets marked as a Next Action.
My actions are always in sequential order but I may not be able to start the first action in the list until a set date - so I wouldn’t want the following action to be marked Next.
This behaviour doesn’t seem to occur with the Due Date field.

Hide Next Items with Start or Due Date My apologies, I just realized that this does work as I wanted. For some reason I wasn’t seeing the items disappear from Next Actions, but now they do.

What would be great, however, is if, when we assign a start date to a project or node, all Next Actions below it would disappear from the Next Actions list.

Overview Not Remembering Collapse/Expand State Hello,

Overall, I’m very happy with how TaskScale is turning out!

However I miss how GTDNext remembers the expanded/collapsed state of projects. With TaskScale, if I leave the Overview page to look at Day Planner, Next Actions, etc., and then return to Overview, I have to re-expand the projects/nodes. I often switch back and forth, so it can be a bit frustrating having to repeatedly expand the projects each time.

Hide Next Items with Start or Due Date Hello,
One of the features I use a lot with GTDNext is using Due Date to manage the size of my Next Actions list. My list can get quite long and overwhelming, so I often add a future due date to Next Actions so that they temporarily drop off the list and then reappear at a later date. I would love to be able to do the same with TaskScale, with either the Start Date or the Due Date.

Info about mobile app Hello!

is it possible to zoom into a specific node to see only that one, like it was in GTDNext?

Yes, double-tap the node to zoom-in.

when I create a new node, it appears a new blank item and then I have to click on it and write a title. Is it possible to be able to name the new node upon creation, without to have to click on it?

We’ll add it to our todo list. Will be fixed soon.

Yes, the development continues!

I also have a question, is it possible to mark a node as done on the app?

Yes, you can complete node. Unlike GTDNext, where all nodes were compleatable, in TaskScale.net you can only complete Project, Action or Checklist nodes.

How do I... - GTD features I'd like to be able to have ah it wasn’t working at first but I had version 1.0 of the app. I updated to latest version and have tested and it works.

Can you add filtering/searching for #tags under the Next Actions view? I use the #tags to group actions by say person, place etc
So for example if I see someone at work then I would go to the Next Actions view/section and search their name #tag so I know what to follow up on with them

Reordering Areas and Workspaces (and nodes!) Areas and Workspaces seem to be in creation order - can we change this? I’m still working out how to best utilize areas & workspaces & don’t want to have to re-create everything just to have it ordered the way I’d like.

Edit: what about re-ordering nodes in general?

Thanks for pivoting to TaskScale! As a former GTD user, I will be subscribing; I have much more to manage now!

How do I... - GTD features I'd like to be able to have Hi there @Sergio

2 things that would help alot from my side relating to questions on this thread I asked previously.

*Being able to actively nominate a task in a folder/project as a Next action
*I would find it more helpful if the #tags worked more as a filter, so when I search a tag it brings up the relevant items in the normal format and with the ability for completed tasks to be hidden

Thanks for your continued improvement of the platform
