  1. Since these updates addressed some playtime sync issues and i have experienced multiple of those before i did some testing by creating fresh LB builds of both. So far it seems that the updates have fixed many issues but i found that N64 playtime and play-count sync between PC and Android is still broken. I imported 2 different full ROM sets on PC and chose Beetle adventure racing (LB ID #1067) as the test game to import to android and the old problem of playtime not syncing correctly and getting doubled persists. As a play by play i import the games to PC then only beetle adventure to android and after launching it only on android and letting the sync do its thing, there's no playtime on PC but 2 play-count. I delete the game and platform on android and reset the playtime and count on PC and the phantom 2 play-count keeps appearing every time LB syncs. I then manually remove all playtime from the N64 XML on PC which seems to fix the issue. I then try again to import it to android and it immediately syncs and shows 4 play-count now both on android and PC. I delete everything n64 related on android and manually reset XML on PC which for now has fixed the problem on PC at least. Before these updates i have had very similar issues for other platforms but they seem to work fine for now (fingers crossed) I have tested ps1, NES and Genesis so far and every game syncs correctly.

  3. Hello Guys! Is my first post... So my issue is, i would like to change the clear logo in bigbox in the "colorful theme" and "default" but even if i add the pictures in the right folder there is difference. Could you guys please help me to fix this issue ? I am trying all day to find a solution but nothing happen. I want the "mame" clear logo and the "nesicaxlive" (i created as a platform and scrap it from taito x) but working fine in launchbox and "unified refried" (all the logo is perfect and i don't understand why) Kind Regards, Thanks for any help !
  4. Hi guys, i love LaunchBox and Bigbox. They are parts of my life now! I find a very boring bug in BigBox. Maybe it's easy to fix-it. I'm using refried theme in BigBox and in General Setting i try to show ONLY games with video so i click on "Hidden games without video" and i wait so much because i have a lot of games. It's perfect! And works great! But the problem is that if i go another time in the same menu options i check always the normal flag and not blue as it would be must. So seems that is deactivated but is active and i don't see other games without video in list. I try to click another time for to activate "Hidden games without video" and i wait another loading, and the same, i see only games with video. How to fix this problem now ??? How to see all my list games in BigBox?? Maybe there are problems on "Hidden games without box or without logo" i don't know because i don't want risk. Please help me to fix this issue. Thanks for all! Mark.
  5. I recently installed Launchbox (again), as I like what it does, and I'm used to these type of launchers (I'm using Playnite for years). But, as curious as it could be, when I hit the Enter keyboard button, any manual inserted game launches twice. At first, I thought it was an issue with the entire launcher, but no, the platform related games with import integration works as expected (I didn't tested Epic, as it isn't installed at the moment, but I have Steam, and Ubisoft Connect - didn't get why Battle.net isn't here, as I imported it manually, so it launches twice as well). And, If I hit the Play button, in the buttons bar, they launch correctly as well. Only the keyboard Enter is causing this. I tried to find something about this in internet and here in foruns (both without success). As a side note, the only thing I find was some kind of patch notes somewhere, from years ago, that said this was fixed. Well, not for me and today.
  6. For some reason the only way to fix it is to straight up turn off my pc It usually happens after updating data or importing games or media but now it happens randomly opening big box I dont know what else to do
  7. Not sure when this started to happen, but at least on the latest version (12.9) using the Custom command-line parameters (Under emulation option) inside any game is not working, since the settings are not saved and if you save and close, the parameters are deleted.
  8. Hi guys Every time that I go thru Menu/Tools/Option the desktop app crash. Does anyone else have this issue or know how to solve that? Thanks!
  9. Hey! So I have my BigBox set up as a front-end for my Multicade, with numerous arcade titles to play, going so far as to add arcade music to the "Launchbox/Music/Background" folder so that it will shuffle through various arcade musics while the game screen is up. It works excellently and I even added album art and info for each game so it displays the song name, game it's from and who the artist is, along with a nice image of the game box art when a new song plays. To make sure the album art is retained for every song, I have each game's music in a different folder within the Background folder. It displays everything fine, but the issue I'm having is it's not shuffling the music, no matter how I set it up. Here's a better description of the problem: When I launch Big Box, it does select a random song, but afterwards it will sequentially play every song from that game (folder), before moving to the next game alphabetically and playing all the music from it as well. If I force it to next song with the BigBox binding, it will indeed select a random song, but afterwards will go back to playing them alphabetically. I have shuffle turned on in settings, but no matter what it won't actually shuffle them if I leave it sitting. It's annoying, as I want it to ideally shuffle every track together, while also retaining album art and info (if I stick them all in a folder together it will mess up the album art). Does anybody have any suggestions?
  10. So im having this issue where when I connect a gamepad controller to my phone my screen (On Super Retro 16) turns from black into an off grey, and its SUPER annoying, I cant figure out why this is happening, if somebody has the same isssue or could lend me a hand and give me some ideas why this is happening, PLEASE dont hesitate to shoot me a MESSAGE or reply to this thread, I really need your help. Once again the screen (upon direction input) goes from deep natural black colors, to off gray. Thanks for reading, hope to hear from someone soon/. Please help
  11. Hi everyone, I am having some difficulties with getting my X-Arcade Tankstick to work in BigBox. I have not long converted from Hyperspin, where the X-Arcade was self explanatory and a breeze. Though, unfortunately I am not finding it so here. I have gone to BigBox > Options > Controller > and ticked "Enable Game Controllers" and "Use All Controllers". Where it says "Device:" there is nothing there. Is that because these options only apply to an actual game-pad controller instead of the X-Arcade which is mapped as a keyboard? If so, does that mean in the options I do not worry about "Controller Buttons" but just "Keyboard Mappings" instead? Also, regarding controls, using Nestopia as an example. I have gotten to the stage with BigBox where I can launch Nestopia full-screen into a chosen game but have no idea how to exit out of the emulator back into BigBox. Is someone able to point me in the right direction? Because at least to me it certainly is not obvious how (I am probable just a doofus). I have found other topics in the forum here about the X-Arcade from years ago but there were of little help as they were from a time where LaunchBox/BigBox seemed to not have compatibility issues with the X-Arcade? Thank you in advanced.
  12. having issues when uploading my PSP ROM's to launchbox where its not differentiating between the files internals and the actual game therefore not uploading the game properly. any help with this?
  13. Hi Guys I´ve been going throught a crazy spot, first my LB and BB was just fine 1 or 2 months ago,but since the last update every time i run a game in LB or BB the screen of loading appears and later it only shows me the main screen of the emulator, the game are not running, it happens with MAME, retroarch and pcsx2, but with rpcs3, cemu, dolphin or PPSSPP everything is just fine. I tried run the game only with the emulator an everything is ok, only when i launched with BB or LB i have this issue. I tried changing rom paths, erase and add every single one emulator, re installing them, even reinstalling clean LB but nothing works, i even set administration permission to LB and the emulators and nothing changes. In the images i show how i have the configuration launchbox recomends. i really hope you can help me!
  14. Hi everyone, i finished my cabinet and started playing but noticed something terrible. When i use games on retroarch it doesn't saves or better, it does, but when i close it and open again the game, the save doesn't exist. I noticed even that if i close the content instead of forcing the closure of retroarch it works good but in my cabinet i cannot do that, to come back to the big box menù i use an ahk that force the closure of the emulators. Any suggestion to solve it? Thank you very much.
  15. Hello, semi-noob here, When trying to emulate Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (1) using ePSXe, I run into some weird screen issues and I wonder if any of you experienced the same behaviour and if so, have you found a way to fix this. And yes, I already tried to google the issue, but haven't found anything on this. At first I thought the ISO was just broken, so I found two new sources, tested both and got the same results each time. Issues are: Main Menu Screen, Character select screen or any screens (except the one when you play the game and skate around a level): horizontal screen flickering/flashing from top to bottom. Almost strobe-esque epilepsy inducing.. Objective screen, the splash-screen before each level that enumerates the objectives and tell you what to collect and such: black screen On the objective screen, you can still press the action button and the level will load as expected. Once a level is loaded everything works and the music also, but apart from that, it's just a mess. Any of you had this happen? Can it be fixed? Keep in mind I'm not very good with emulator configs.. I tweaked a thing or two here and there with a few tutorials but in all honesty I have no idea what i'm doing most the time.. PS. don't hesitate to tell me if i'm in the wrong forum thread.. will correct it SPECS: PC: Lenovo Processor: Intel Core i7 4710HQ 2.50GHz RAM: 16GB OS: WIN 8.1 Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M EPSXE Version: 2.0.5 Video Plugin: PEOPS OpenGL Driver 1.78 Video configs: see attached image
  16. Hi all, Have just got my premium license and downloaded a couple of themes for Bigbox and after placing them in LBthemes as explained in Youtube tutorial, I get the warning in the screenshot down below. Even I restart Launchbox and it detects the new changes over the theme, it does not load Bigbox and when checking back in launchbox this is what comes, basically. Any guesses? Thanks in advance
  17. Problem: LaunchBox gives an error at the loading screen after installing a new Plugin in Launchbox. Solution: Go into the properties of each .dll file in the plugin's folder and click "unblock" in the General tab.
  18. Hi guys so for about a year now im into emulation, slowly building my collection of games and systems. So yesterday i thought it was time to step it up a little bit. for the past i've been using a ps4 controller to control my games. I had a idea to buy system specific controllers. so yesterday i bought a usb nes controller and a snes controller. So while is was setting up i notiched that for one system it worked but once i changed the controller and system it all got messed up again. so thats where i find out asbout custom configs. But now a other problem pops up. i've got all the buttons that are needed mapped properly and saved to the right config but somehow once i go ingame all the buttons mess up again. for example i just have my nes controller mapped as button b to button b button a to button a ect. but ingame button a is fast forward and my start key is exiting the game . I only changed the buttons that where needed everything else is still default. What did i do wrong
  19. For some reason when I am trying to import my steam games I am getting stuck on the "Please wait while parsing your steam account..." Some additional information this only happens when I am importing steam games. Windows and roms are fine. However I noticed that when I import windows games and it also has the "parsing files" window it has a loading wheel on my mouse when i hover over it. However, this does not happen when I am stuck on the same parsing window for steam. So is it not even running a process? Please let me know what I can do I really do enjoy this interface.
  20. For some reason Im stuck at the screen that says please wait while parsing your steam account. How can I fix this? Its been there for about 15 minutes.
  21. So, I've been trying to troubleshoot this for a while now, but I just can't seem to get the Naomi Metal Slug 6 conversion to run properly in Launchbox. It runs fine when I launch it in Demul, although I do have to launch it via "Load decrypted rom", as it is a custom hack. The file itself is a ".bin" file, so I am not sure if this has anything to do with the problems I'm having. Here's my a screenshot of my default Naomi setup for Demul that I'm trying to run this conversion with (works perfectly for all normal Naomi games). When I run it with this setup, it just pops up with a demul window and the games list for Naomi. Any suggestions?
  22. I have been using LaunchBox for a while now, I recently went to open the program and it told me there was an update. I installed the update (November 4, 2017) and Now the Roms inside of the Program (I only use SNES) will not launch with the emulator SNES-9x unless I go select the rom file information, go into Edit & make it Launch with Snes9x......... I have tried to change the emulator path and I know I have SNES9x selected, yet every time I double click a box it says emulator path does not exist, unless I change the path manually, its not a big deal, it only takes 5 or 10 seconds, but still annoying and something I wanted to bring up for the next update if its happening to other peopl. Once you select the ROM files new path it will remember it, but you have to do it for all the games you want to play if you havent played them. So Im not sure If the update now requires emulator in the launchbox folder or what......... I would really appreciate some help on this, thank you
  23. Hi gang! After a year of using BigBox just about every day (just renewed my licence for another year. Wohooo!!!) I documented my issues and ideas for BigBox, and I wanted to share them for discussion. I already filled them on BitBucket, and wanted to know what you think of them. You can read more details on each issue by clicking the link for each one on the title: #1363: Use Z-Axis (Triggers) to Scroll doesn't work in BigBox This was filled by OmenBoy, but wanted to raise awareness of this issue #3521: [Request] Fan Art or Screenshots for Loading splash screen I would like to suggest an option for BigBox to replace the current "Now Loading" box with random Fan Art or Screenshot from the game. The behaviour would be similar to the way Xbox One or PS4 loads a game, once selected and as it loads, it shows some artwork. #3522: [Request] Definable "Now Loading" box or splash screen time This would be very helpful for a lot of us using RetroArch or CEMU in a standard plate HDD, since from a cold boot they sometimes take 8 to 10 seconds to load, and the "Now Loading" screen is long gone by then. To a novice user this could create some confusion in the seconds it takes to load the program, since the Now Loading box disappears, nothing happens and they might think the game failed to boot for some reason, the user tries again and at worst case scenario, they end up loading two copies of the same emu at the same time, with obvious performance problems. #3523: [Request] "Themeable" button inputs I would like to request a standard way of defining button inputs on BigBox. Right now a lot of themes display some button inputs on their themes, but this has created some big issues: Since there's no "canonical" button mapping on BigBox, some custom themes just "guess" that the Y button on XB controllers (or the triangle button on PS Controllers) is mapped to the "Search" splash screen and they display this info on the screen, when on my custom configuration, that button it is mapped to change the theme's view or layout. More info in the link above. #3524: [Request] "Themeable" Game Details Page This one is short and sweet: I would love that the Games Detail page becomes themeable. Since the theme developers keep making more and more impressive themes, I think that a themeable Games Details page would make their heads explode with ideas, coming with some very good-looking way to select games with Multiple Versions or Multi CDs, or even selecting a different emulator altogether, maybe all of this with icons, images or even videos (spinning CDs is one idea). #3526: [Request] Custom Line Parameter to remove options screen I have a custom arcade cabinet running BB on it, and sometimes when I invite my friends to play while browsing the games and platforms they accidentally go all the way back to the settings screen. Even if it's "locked", this confuses even my best tech-savvy friends, since they are not familiar with the way BB navigates, and they don't know what to do. You can imagine that my less tech-savvy friends just think that the machine is malfunctioning and they just stop playing. I would like to request a BB custom line parameter to completely disable the options screen. When the user is on the first screen of BB (doesn't matter if it's the platforms, categories, playlists, etc, when the command line is present on launch, the user can't go back to the settings screen. If the back button is pressed on this first page, BB would do nothing. This would be extremely helpful for us that have BB on an arcade cabinet, and we made sure that everything is ready and set before we invite our friends to play. I wouldn't mind having to Alt+F4 or similar to quit BB when this custom line parameter is used to launch BB in a special "cabinet mode". _____ Anyways, hope you like them and hopefully together we can help the LB team make an even better program! Cheers!
  24. Hey everyone. So I recently updated to the latest beta release of Launchbox (Beta 7) and when Launchbox was initializing, it got stuck at "Caching Playlists", which was one of the new features Jason implemented for this beta I believe. It was stuck for well over 5 minutes and I couldn't close the program unless I used task manager to end the task. Afterward I tried relaunching it and that time it loaded, however it continues to get stuck the majority of times right at "Caching Playlists". It's also worth noting that I received an error stating that my metadata.xml file is corrupted and recommending me to re open Launchbox to avoid other issues. I've received this error twice now. So far Launchbox keeps getting stuck and occasionally I get the same error that my metadata.xml file is corrupted. Launchbox is a great front end, and I thank Jason for developing this awesome program and everyone else who contributes to the community. I just need help with this one issue. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is the error: Metadata.xml file is corrupted. Please try closing and restarting LaunchBox.
