Statistic syncing is still broken for me, i have made a bug report about this but im making this thread to see if others are having this issue aswell. I use LB on my windows 11 machine and zfold 2 android phone, when using the statistic syncing feature it bugs out and instead of syncing the correct playtime and playcount it doubles them. The latest update for PC LB seems to have made a little improvement since before each sync the playcount on games was rising by 2 each time but with limited tests that seems to work now. I got 6 correct syncs until all of the statistics got doubled again. i have turned off syncing for now, is there an update in the works for android that is going to look into this?

Games imported by network share don't get their data synced until you first launch them on android and then it wiped all previous data. For example i import my whole PS1 platform via network share but none of the games show any playtime or favorites or anything until i launch one of them and then all of the data for that game is reset to zero.

Since these updates addressed some playtime sync issues and i have experienced multiple of those before i did some testing by creating fresh LB builds of both. So far it seems that the updates have fixed many issues but i found that N64 playtime and play-count sync between PC and Android is still broken. I imported 2 different full ROM sets on PC and chose Beetle adventure racing (LB ID #1067) as the test game to import to android and the old problem of playtime not syncing correctly and getting doubled persists. As a play by play i import the games to PC then only beetle adventure to android and after launching it only on android and letting the sync do its thing, there's no playtime on PC but 2 play-count. I delete the game and platform on android and reset the playtime and count on PC and the phantom 2 play-count keeps appearing every time LB syncs. I then manually remove all playtime from the N64 XML on PC which seems to fix the issue. I then try again to import it to android and it immediately syncs and shows 4 play-count now both on android and PC. I delete everything n64 related on android and manually reset XML on PC which for now has fixed the problem on PC at least. Before these updates i have had very similar issues for other platforms but they seem to work fine for now (fingers crossed) I have tested ps1, NES and Genesis so far and every game syncs correctly.

I was adding some steam games last night and one of them kept giving me the error "Could not import game "": An item with the same key has already been added. " The game was Nights of Azure 2, and I did have the previous game, but I didn't have the game already synced. I'm not sure what is causing it, or what to do to fix it. I found kind of a work around by just adding it manually and directing it to the link in the steam file, but that is not a very clean solution as the steam menu pops up and then the game screen is tiny unlike the others that open full screen, and the screen that pops up asks me if i want to start the game, as in start the booting into the game process, this is very clunky and annoying, but it's the best I could do. I'm hoping that someone can help me fix this problem and get it working correctly, or if i will just keep getting this era every time i sync a new steam game, unless i scroll through and uncheck it. any help would be very much appreciated. ?

game versions Deleted game versions do not disappear from LB
MijacOnAir posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Hi, I am performing a clean up because I have tons of SNES beta and hack versions I want to get rid of. The thing is when I manually delete them on the corresponding folder and I go for a new scan for removed items within SNES section what I find is the versions are still appearing on right click over the game (even these are not working, of course). I have tried restarting LB and scanning several times with no results. Any ideas? Thanks beforehand -
If I wanted to sync everything I add or remove to launchbox from my first PC to other PCs I use, using onedrive or dropbox, what are the launchbox files or folders I should keep in SYNC (other than emulators and roms)

Hello, So I had a question about syncing steam games with Launchbox. I do not want every Steam game in my library to be synced with Launchbox, and I am able to individually add games just fine. However, would I be able to sync up my Steam account, and then individually delete the games that I do not want to appear?

I have previously raised the query of synchronising installations of LaunchBox between computers. I know that Jason uses DropBox but I wanted to raise awareness of an alternative. There are several reasons why DropBox may not be the best solution - the obvious one being cost! Also, people may not want their info floating in the cloud or simply be restricted by bandwidth/ connection speeds. FreeFileSync was recommended to me, but I have found what I believe to be a better alternative for myself. That is BitTorrent Sync. The key benefit of both of these is that they are free, however BitTorrent sync seems to have a great interface and is incredibly simple. You simply install on each machine, and then select the folder to be synced. You are then given a unique code which can be entered on the second machine and the folders are linked (and synced). This can be read/write (i.e. updates both ways), or you can get a "read only" code, which means that you have a "master" installation and all others will be synced to that. Another benefit is that there is no space limit - i.e. you are only limited by your hard drive space. Also, if you have many machines you benefit from the torrenting meaning that the load is shared and (hopefully) speed increased! The single downside is that (because it's not cloud) based the computer you are on needs to be able to connect to another computer on your network with the data to sync. Don't get me wrong - that can be locally or over the web, but both machines need to be on. If you have a server machine or NAS drive however this is an ideal solution - I recommend checking it out. Here I am syncing between two local machine:
