Project and Submission Requirements
-
This is a startup-oriented hackathon, not just a pitch competition. Your submission must include a technical build, which will be heavily weighted in the evaluation process.
-
To ensure fairness and creativity, the use of pre-existing code or designs is prohibited. All work on your product must be completed during the hackathon timeframe.
-
Detailed submission requirements will be provided closer to the start of the event.
Judging Criteria
The judging criteria for FoundersHack include 2 main components:
-
Technical Build: Teams will be evaluated on both the technical implementation of their build, as well as the extent to which the product allows for key user assumptions to be tested.
-
Business Feasibility: Your ability to demonstrate the feasibility of your business idea will also be crucial, with an emphasis on problem & solution validation, and the business model.
Additionally, the design and delivery of your startup pitch will carry its own weighting.
Winner Selection
-
Submissions will be reviewed after hacking concludes on Sunday.
-
Finalist teams will be announced and invited to pitch live for a podium place at the FoundersHack Pitch Night.
