for me I’ve always been a female character fan since I was a kid and didn’t even get into BL until puberty (and wider internet access) so all this fighting is just so bizarre. These interests don’t even conflict at all. Why do they think people can’t like more than one thing? I enjoy different mediums/genres for different reasons and have different expectations going into them. Personally speaking I don’t like the way anime typically writes women so I go to live-action for majority female cast shows.

>Yes, I watched an artist I followed go from a bl artist to a gl artist, and they instantly developed a ratty-bully, 'I'm better than girls who like men and always the victim' personality. It was heartbreaking.
I often feel like the artists who do this are projecting hardcore and were fujos specifically because of some unsorted internalized misogyny baggage, and are now overcompensating and think that other women have the same mindset.

Tbh they don't think people or specifically in this case fujo's can't enjoy more than one thing because they always try to force people to like what they think they should like. Bonus points if the person they're attacking has one thing they like from a series and nothing else. Also, they tend to like only one thing themselves and are too hypocritical to acknowledge they're the same because they think they're better than us.

Probably, idk about her, though she was a lesbian with a wife who liked drawing girls more.

I can't bear to watch the video for the cringe of listening to some NPC whine about m-muh romanticization of violence in BL again but Jinx's issues aren't in the seme consistently raping the bottom because that's literally why I started reading it but the really bad pacing, the seme being an unlikable manbaby roidpig and a story that seems to go nowhere. I read it for a few years but eventually decided to drop it because it's just not that good of a series. I wish the conversation around these series wasn't always either "if you read this you support and enable rape irl" or "if you don't like this you're a pissbaby clutching pearls" but actually discussed the construction of the story and the characters.

Is that the little bits of discourse I keep seeing on my feed? ffs man. I'm happy I made a new account to avoid this shit. I love uma musume, but I'm afraid of interacting with the fandom because of all the incels and mean yuri fans. It sucks, though because I really want someone to chat with as I'm really obsessed right now. I've seen a lot of genderbent art of the male horses but as expected of the west they have to ruin it… And not to mention the amount of moid hysteria I've been seeing the past few days is because of these fuckers. I hate them all why can't they be normal? Fujoshi get the tiniest bit of hate for being a little to excited, while epsteins dicples and chrischans ruin fanspaces literally everyday.

Also what's up with himejoshi pushing troons? I feel bad for real lesbians and bi women because they have to deflect mentally ill cock now while looking for girls to date. Like I've seen people actually upset when it's implied that lesbians don't like men from gendies.

>Because obviously, "transitioning" is like the irl equivalent of genderbending yourself right? It's much more realistic and rooted in queerness, whatever the fuck.

I never thought about it like that, you're so right. I think they're just obsessed with being forever victims of whatever problems they make for themselves or they just wanna be considered 'special and different'.

Yeah, I'm not watching that shit. I'm already cringing. I listened to her voice, and she sounds like a stereotype of a quirkchungus tumblr enby.
How do people do this shit? I would die of embarrassment from making a dedicated presentation on some shitty manwha/manga that all the normies would have no idea about otherwise. Moralfags preach too much. In fact, they probably got more people to read it to see what's up.

Who else watched the first episode of SBR?
I was a bit bummed out with the way it looked when the teasers first dropped, but honestly it's not even that bad. I'm even warming up to the new seiyuus. Plus SBR itself is just so hype I'm willing to overlook a few obvious cgi scenes here and there, but rest assured not a cent of my money is going into Netflix's pockets kek

I watched Love is a Poison and like it a lot, unfortunately I have very predictable taste and I ended up being super invested in the evil dad and his sleazy lawyer lackey. They gave huge vibes of having fucked at least once, specially with the reveal of where the lawyer knows the second lead from and the ending where he gets called his "dog".

I finally watched 10Dance and I have NEVER felt more blueballed by an ending. Everything else about the movie was immaculate, down to the lighting, cinematography, and actors. Why couldn't they make an original end for it instead? I wanted to see them retire in Havanna full of passion and life. If not that, I would have settled for some kind of flash forward to the competition at least.

Props to Ryoma and Keita for selling the mutual longing and pining so well. I could watch them for another 5 hours easily.

>I don't know much about historical fashion so I couldn't tell if the outfits were outdated or if they were just from some eastern European culture or something.
I can't say for sure because I'm not an expert at all either, but just based on the dresses the ladies are wearing at the ball and Vladis having long hair tied in a low ponytail if you told me that scene happened before or around the French Revolution I wouldn't be surprised in the least. So around 1750-1800. Or even before that. Victorian era clothes are way more modern all over Europe so unless the scene was a masked ball with a specific theme it happened a long time ago. Unless I'm wrong. I don't know.

>I also considered the demon being someone other than Sebastian but I don't know if Yana would introduce other demons this late into the story.

You're right, at that point we're in the last arc of the manga, even if it looks like it's going to be a very long one. I think right now if anyone will be reveal to also not be a human it will be John Brown. With how much the anime was inspired by things from the manga that weren't revealed yet if Yana said he were an angel sent to work with the queen I wouldn't be too surprised, even if his role would be different from Ash's role in the first season. I don't think we ever saw him without his sunglasses? It reminds me a little bit of the final boss in the game Catherine on top of his white hair being similar to Ash's. And his voice actor is Hiroshi Kamiya too, he's going to be important eventually.

 No.5418

>>5416
I'm personally betting on John Brown being a grim reaper. I mean grim reapers are also known as "angels of death" so he'd technically be an angel. He probably appeared before Victoria when taking Albert's soul after he died. I bet he'll have an eye reveal just like Undertaker did in the luxury liner arc.

It followed through on the logical conclusion of all the bait it had. First and still only of its kind. Regrettably I did not and still do not give a fuck about it (can't into sports) but I'm really happy for everybody else and hope one day it will happen to me.

 No.6324

You made me think about how I enjoy homo sports but for me YoI didn't have the same vibes as homo sports usually does. It has to do with it taking itself seriously for the most part and it lacking the insane powerlevel shounen energy of something like Kuroko no basuke or Blue lock. I enjoyed YoI at the time and it aired during a period when tumblr was still fun for me but in the long run I found that it didn't keep my interest that long after it stopped airing. Lately I've been coming to terms with the fact that I really do find bait more exciting than canon homo because if it's canon there's not much for my imagination to latch on to.

I'm a huge fan of Kristoph/Apollo because age gaps and boss/employee dynamics are really hot to me, but it's a shame there's not much with the pairing. Most of the art I could find are from scrubbed/dead Japanese fansites from the late 2000s. LiveJournal used to have some doujins, too, but they're ancient megaupload links so they've been long dead.

Self-inserting has always been a thing, however, more than ever has it not taken in an almost parasitic and viral infestation in general fandom and the BL scene.

Whether it's the need to make gay ships het by adding a vagina/transing, or blatantly stating they see non-insert ships as cucking, let's talk about self-inserting and how bad it's gotten.

I completely agree that selfshipping was never as prominent nor aggressive as it is now. My hypothesis is that AI chatbots significantly influenced this cultural shift. Instead of creating fleshed out stories and being invested in observing relationships between characters, people found out they could just talk to the character bot of their waifu/husbando of choice. That combined with the loneliness during the pandemic when we were all bound indoors and tech companies fracking into our basic need for interpersonal relationships created this mess.

 No.12416

That makes sense. The only positive thing I can say about these bots is that it's better for teenagers to use those as opposed to them getting groomed by adults in RP communities but that's about it.

I completely understand you, I get so pissed at NOTPs especially when they're popular and undermine a character's characterization. I also don't really get the point of side pairings that just exist for people to smush two appealing designs together and completely neglect their interiority. Like Tengen/Zenitsu COULD be interesting because of how heterosexual they both are and what it would take to make them have any semblance of a romantic relationship, or even just a noncommittal sexual one. But people don't care about that they just care that Tengen's tall, big, charming and Zenitsu's a shaking afraid small pretty guy and treat them like a normal romcom couple. Which hey it's their prerogative but I find it frustrating, I don't ship two characters together just for the sake of seeing two males kiss, I would just consume BL manga of that was the case. I like their personalities and what it would take to have them be that consumed by each other, and the ways they would navigate their issues especially for the hyper-masculine guys who might be homophobic. I think a lot of people want a different experience with fandom, which you can tell by the amount of people who view canon as optional/look down on it and how they do their own thing with their friends while treating the characters as tropes. This is such a huge thing in danmei fandom because the novels are long asf and few have TV adaptions and even those that do have one has the og's storyline botched because of censorship, so people will read some of it or just read fanfic or even admit to skimming it and then think they have a leg to stand on when it comes to analysis of certain characters. If you ever figure out how to stop getting mad let me know lmao but it's such a huge issue, because again if I wanted fluffy non confrontational stuff I'd read actual BL manga which has wayyy better art and is more likely to be self-indulgent and not self-conscious or ironic like a lot of western works are when it comes to guilty pleasures.

 No.13244

>>13235
>AND they just get lost in their own sauce that's when I get mad specially even more if the ship is a particular's character most popular ship.
>By 'getting lost in their own sauce' meaning constant mischaracterizations, adopting 'popular' headcanons that have nothing to do with the character(s) in question, slowly forgetting their source material or actions to begin with that they start to morph into OCs, if a character is evil or unpleasant they just get woobiefied into a crying blorb, etc.

1000% my experience too. In my case my notp is the canon ship (i know) but the way is shipped doesn't even make me angry specifically because it's shipped in such an ooc way lol
A good contrast is Asushin. I’m personally neutral on it, I like Kawoshin obviously but I have never seen ooc Asushin fanart.
Their dynamic stays intact. Shinji doesn’t get turned into some generic lads charming perfect boyfriend guy and Asuka isn’t reduced to a moe soft-girl, always innocent shoujo heroine. They still feel like themselves, which is rare for fanart nowdays.

>sharkboy trying to look tough waiting for the train but his eye is watering from putting in contacts in a hurry
Sharks often cause damage or injuries because they feel around with their nose and bump objects to check if they're alive, but they leave their mouth full of sharp teeth hanging open at the same time. I bet sharkboys open mouth stare when they're thinking hard, and give nose kisses to their partners.

On the subject of toothy boys I wonder between sharkboys and croc/gatorboys which one has more braincells. I think sharks are more cautious whereas crocs stubbornly stay passive and cool for as long as possible before taking chances with a surprise bite. Young crocs are cheeky and make a lot of noise about themselves but really crocs just wanna lie about together and wait for someone else to bring them good things. It's not lazy it's efficient! Bring him his MaccyDs or he'll cry! For real!

Croc tails get pretty fat so they're probably full of awkward moe pretending they haven't noticed someone wanting the seat next to them that their tail's occupying. They knock things over in stores and walk away very slowly after staring at the source of the sound. If someone grabs their tail and pulls them they're split between snapping at them or just letting it happen. Their snapping can be just ineffective complaining since bending around to attack is kind of a bother.

Ganya slander. This man did not make a public spectacle of himself in increasingly humiliating ways just to be called a yapping nobody. Include more scenes with him at the expense of the rest though and you have yourself a novel.
Really though, I do love a classical blond bishonen who is elegant, sophisticated, educated, polite, so on and so forth, only to be almost immediately exposed and humiliated as a jackass and get repeatedly owned for the rest of the book while he tries and fails to maintain his "above you" demeanor, if only he could stop himself from having mental breakdowns and publicly chimping out every five minutes. Everything always goes wrong for him. It is always his own fault. I love a pathetic failure of a man, especially if he's repeatedly described as beautiful.

I swear my brain would block my chronic depression to take good care of his depressed ass~~ (and also do him)~~.

I'm a bit curious as to what sexuality posters of fujochan have. Do you consider your sexuality as playing a role in you being a fujoshi? Do you think fujoshis are mostly straight women? I'll start by saying I'm bisexual.

A lot of the women in fandom who constantly talk about being gay or bi or having gay thoughts around women tend to be very stereotypically straight (not that there's anything wrong with it at all) ime. Like YESS MUSCLE MOMMY STEP ON ME then back to daddy dom stuff.

I'm bi but only like the concept of men. irl men mostly creep me out in behavior or appearance. women on the other hand are way better on that aspect, but find myself frustrated with how women are depicted in media compared to how interesting/diverse women can be irl.

I think I like men more in theory, but irl I rarely ever feel any attraction to anyone. I'm not immune to masc lesbians thirst traps online but I feel like I'm too ugly to date a woman. Or frankly, I feel like I'm simultaneously too ugly with standards too high for what I look like to have an actual sexuality, if that makes sense. I don't think I'll ever find anyone I want to date either, even though the thought of having a fujo as a "life partner" (whether platonically or something else) sounds so nice…
