About the challenge

Welcome to GameHACKS 1.0, Pi & World's game design hackathon. In this 2-3 day challenge, you will be tasked with creating a web, mobile, or PC game that is setup or designed in a unique or interesting way. Try to think outside of the box in terms of constructring the rules, playing experience, and graphics of your game, and consider which games you like best and why. Your game does not need to be fully implemented, however if it is a prototype or plan it must be detailed and imaginative. This hackathon is intended for elementary, middle, and high school students with any experience level.

Day 1: Friday 5/12

Orientation: messages will be sent out over email and Discord about specific information and events in the Hackathon. Project work begins and submissions open.

Day 2: Saturday 5/13

Full work day: work with teammates or by yourself, ask for help, and formulate and implement your video game.

Day 3: Sunday 5/14

Hackathon closure: Make the finishing touches on your project, record a video about it and write about your experience. Award ceremony will also take place on this day.

Remember that projects do not need to be finished by the submission deadline, but your submission must be sent by the deadline.
