Hello there! My name is Monita Mitra. 👋🏽

😇 About Me

I am a rising senior at the University of Texas at Austin majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Statistics & Data Sciences. Some of my hobbies include painting, binge-watching TV shows, trying new foods, and spending time at the beach. 🌊🔆 My most notable honors are completing the TIP102 course with CodePath and winning an award for best DEI hack at a university sponsored hackthon with my friends for our project UPSEED.

I’m open to exploring many areas of tech, but lately I’ve been particularly drawn to iOS development and Generative AI. Working on Jamly, an iOS social music app, has fueled my passion for building engaging mobile experiences, while Wealthy Waldo, a personal project combining LLMs, vector search, and financial logic to generate personalized investment portfolios, sparked my excitement for creating intelligent, helpful tools. ❤️❤️
