I have another machine, this is a System76 laptop that uses the nouveau driver. The appimage both before and after this PR work just fine, so it seems the "symlink is broken for those without proprietary drivers" theory is correct. |

Yeah my worry is that the broken symlink would cause issues to people that don't have the prop nvidia driver, since the opengl loader will check that symlink first before the mesa json. But that issue does not seem to be present. |

For most people this symlink will be broken.
It is for those with the prop nvidia driver installed where it is useful, since the opengl loader will open the
10_nvidia.jsonfirst before50_mesa.jsonwhich should prevent the current bug.However we need to make sure the broken link does not cause issues for people without the prop nvidia driver.
