The missing Regarding support for older Python versions, Python 3.6 being EOL isn't the full story. Our Python support policy is documented here: https://github.com/pygments/pygments/blob/master/Contributing.md#python-support. That said, compared to the situation at the time of #2059, there is now RHEL 9, so according to our current policy we can drop Python 3.6 now. I'd still like to hear opinions from other maintainers on that, though. @birkenfeld @Anteru WDYT? |

Python 3.11 was released on 2022-10-24 🚀
Also test on Python 3.12-dev to be ready for the next version, drop support for EOL Python 3.6 (EOL since 2021), add colour to the CI logs for readability, and bump GitHub Actions.
