@droe's work helped these VPN issues quite a bit, the last thing to close this issue IMO is to add more help to the user to this error msg.
If the user uses both
--iplayer/-Xand-I <interface_name>, then tested with Wireguard on both Mac and Ubuntu that packets are sent correctly.close #485
