It does need the same kernel patch, yeah (important to note though it does not exhibit the same display corruption issue as BSB has been plagued with). I think users will get the jist until someone refactors that part of the wiki into a proper shared space.

There currently isn't much active push to upstream this branch at the moment (everyone involved is quite busy with other things), and it likely is going to take many months for everything currently in there to actually get upstreamed.
As it currently stands the default behaviour with Rift S in envision is a profile with no head tracking (upstream Monado does not enable 6dof head tracking by default on Rift S and you have to tick a box in the debug UI to enable it), and no 6dof controller tracking on Rift S or WMR, which cause a lot of confusion for end users as many people have to be pointed to change the repo+branch from the default to get tracking to work correctly, even with the Wiki stating to do so (since not everyone reads the entire wiki).
This driver has bitrotted quite heavily over the past 5 years, however I have opened a PR to revive it and bring it closer to modern standards. Once this MR is merged, Razer Hydra should work seamlessly with any headset supporting the legacy builder. I tested this with my (currently not upstream) Oculus Rift driver using my DK2, with motoc to sync the tracking origins. You can see a video of this in action here.
Ideally this only gets merged after !2469 on Monado is merged, since the Razer Hydra driver is not very usable without that MR.

Mark support for the Razer Hydra.
Before the new plugin system, I was able to have auto-start per profile (wlx-overlay-s on my WiVRn profile, nothing on my simulated driver profile), however it does not seem possible to have that anymore.
