Prerequisites

Can you reproduce the problem in a fresh Firefox profile with only ClearURLs?
Are you running the latest version of ClearURLs?
Have you changed settings under about:config?

Description

For some reason, starting a search from the URL bar causes query parameters to be un-encoded. I'm unable to reproduce this in a clean browser instance, so this may be a compatibility issue with some about:config settings change. NOTE: Issue does go away after disabling ClearURLs. NOTE 2: Removing and re-installing from AMO results in going from 1.27.1 to 1.26.1, which fixes the issue.

Steps to Reproduce

Install ClearURLs
Try to search for something containing special characters, such as C# STJ json canonicalisation
Notice that the search query in the search engine (ie. google) says C

Expected behavior:

Have a successful search, end up at https://www.google.com/search?q=C%23+STJ+json+canonicalisation

Actual behavior:

End up at a google page about C: https://www.google.com/search?q=C# STJ json canonicalisation
