ok there is definitely a bug with inkscape and wacom tablets. It's repeatable both on the flatpak version i tried and on the package installed from Arch repository. I can still reproduce which is why i mentioned it.

Do you use a wacom tablet? if so, unplug it and try again. This is a bug.

Hey sorry for the late reply. I ended up just nuking my atomic desktop, after multiple issues I couldn't seem to workaround, and returned to my Arch install.

I note from @james-cws' comment the seg fault that seems to be non existent when starting the flatpak app without wacom plugged in. I must admit I did not try this and as I also use a wacom tablet it seems there may be something to this.
