The fix for this has been pushed. The tuning pattern selection area was made stricter to avoid sometimes unexpected selection behavior. Please check whether the issue still persists in the first nightly build that includes commit b156372d
I'm reporting this from v10 RC2, but 9.0.7 is also affected. When selecting some tracks with meanders, I noticed that another meander which was well outside the selection rectangle also got falsely selected. It then reacts to commands line Delete or Copy/Paste. I'm uploading screenshots and test project from 9.0.7, re-saving it in v10 has no effect. The project was originally imported from Eagle, but all differential pairs and meanders were routed from scratch in KiCad 8.0.8.
Open PCB from this test project:
Select area like in the first screenshot. Make sure you use blue selection rectangle.
Observe that nearby meander from another track/net also got falsely selected.

Narrow tuning pattern area selection
Still persist in version 10.0 (maybe add 10.0 label?)
Sinc this is known upstream bug, should this one be closed or should stay open for visibility?

I'm not sure what the issue is here. We'll need more complete steps to diagnose.

Version 10 is also affected (so adding the label 10.0 might be appropriate?)

Should the KLC S5.1 be fixed by creating derived symbol and assigning the respective footprints (they are only 2, SMD and THT one)?
Thank you! I have not tried the latest, however I had already made an identical change to yours from e25c5a98 and confirm that the crash no longer repros.
