I am new to contributing to Gitlab and I will be contributing in the spare time I have after my full time job. So I will take time to complete this issue.

Another thing regarding contribution, I have forked the repo and cloned it locally, however, I am seeing two issues with that. First, just the fork has filled up free storage limit and I am seeing this error: "You have reached the free storage limit of 10 GiB on 1 project". I might not be able to push to the repo due to this.

Secondly, I received Gitlab Duo when onboarding for contribution. However, I am not able to use it with the fork and seeing this error: "This project does not have Duo Agent Platform access". Seeing these two issues, I feel that forking is not the correct way for contributing to gitlab?

Hi @missy-gitlab, I am an experienced Software Engineer with experience in Full Stack Development, CICD and Applied AI. I started my career with contributing to open source projects. Now years later, I want to get back to it and gitlab seems like a good place to start. I have not decided on any specific issue that I want to work on yet.

I have also updated my socials in my profile so that you can get to know who I am and help me find how I can contribute in the best way possible.
