@floatingskies Just for confirmation, you're an author of all 5 wallpapers in .zip archive which attached @XiaoFuse few posts above except for the 3 with photographers' names in file names?
Just tell me when it should be changed
Heya, "Float" or "Ariel Closs Novais" should be enough, but I think for licenses type of stuff my real name would be good, as when for community stuff I use my nickname "Float"
Yes, they can be renamed and altered for fitting in the Ubuntu desktop type of names, but I think it would be good leaving an bit of the tips that the photographies have been taken by these really good photographers, or let having credits in the package, hehe
Cheers from Brazil, as this is my first contribution that gets inserted into an Ubuntu project/flavour
We're adding new backgrounds because some people did contribute them to us. Adding them is not an issue, I just need a few more details to have everything done correctly
Couldn't the logos from 25.10 be replaced with the new logos from 26.04, while leaving the backgrounds the same?
I have few questions:
Thank you for reporting this issue! I've spotted similar issue with video searching and I need some more time to finish my work on unity-lens-video. Among removal of libsoup2* dependency I prepare there integration with yt-dlp what led me to discovering issue with improper usage of newest locate and updatedb commands.
I suppose the same issue (improper usage of locate and updatedb) leads to file search not working. I'll work on it.
Thanks again for reporting this!
The installation error still occurs with Calamares 3.3.14-0ubuntu21.
Tested with "cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/daily-live/20260313/resolute-desktop-amd64.iso"
Installation Failed
External command finished with error.
Details:
Command <i>cp /etc/apt/sources.list.d/cdrom.sources /tmp/calamares-cdrom-sources/<i> finished with exit code 1.
Output:
cp: cannot stat '/etc/apt/sources.list.d/cdrom.sources': No such file or directory
In the installed system folder /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ there is only the file ubuntu.sources, not cdrom.sources. Perhaps that's the problem.
I think this should be an upstream bug
I hope so; it doesn't seem entirely clear where the error originates. I also think it's due to Calamares.
Does it sound to you like it's this bug? https://launchpad.net/bugs/2143939
As with Unity, the installer crashes during mounting, Daily-build 2026.03.11 lubuntu. The error therefore lies with the Calamares Version: 3.3.14-0ubuntu20, just like with Unity. Older versions of Lubuntu are not available.
no worries xd
Hehe, sorry ;-;
