Hack Sprint is a beginner friendly mobile development workshop series for students of all backgrounds to learn the fundamentals of app development. Participants are encouraged to work on a project either in groups or solo so that they may apply the knowledge gained from workshops and present at our final showcase!
This winter, Hack Sprint focused on app development using React Native with Expo! Show off what you've learned and build something fun!

Judging Criteria
-
Idea/Creativity
Every project starts with an idea! We'll be looking for projects with creativity and potential. Even if you weren't able to execute completely, your overall vision is what matters! -
Technical Complexity
We hope that you've been able to learn and apply some of the more complicated concepts covered in our Hack Sprint workshops or maybe even explored some on your own! -
Design
While we're not expecting the latest UI trends and fancy animations/interactions, presentation is an important part of any application. Try your best to get your app to a state where you'd be proud to show it off! -
Demo
Either live demo at showcase or online recording. Although they will be brief, effective demos will give judges the clearest understanding of your project. It's also your chance to display the app at its best!
