In partnership with Schneider Electric, We Kids (https://www.wekids-haiti.com/) is hosting its first in-person Hack4Haiti competition at Schneider Electric in Andover, MA on August 18th. With up to 50 participants (teams of 1–4) for this event, teams will receive the competition prompt 4 days in advance to prepare. The event day will consist of a short additional working period for contestants and then judging.
After the preliminary judging round, 5 finalist teams will advance to a live debate round, where winners will be selected with a prize of $200.
Breakfast and lunch are provided for all participants and judges. Suresh Manian (AI builder & educator) will be leading a workshop on AI & Building with Empathy as part of the event as well.

Requirements
Teams will be required to develop a solution/product/company to tackle a relevant issue in Haiti and must:
1) create and demonstrate a solution—either a coded prototype or a non-technical mockup (e.g., Figma, flowchart, etc),
2) present a business/sustainability plan
3) effectively communicate its expected impact
Finalists will move onto the debate round where they will present and debate their solutions/ideas.
The exact prompt/submission requirements will be posted on 8/14/2025.
