Welcome to Hackathon 2025: Future in Focus 🎉 — hosted by Women in Tech (WIT).

This year’s hackathon challenges you to design and develop impactful solutions that address real-world problems in one of two tracks:

  • 🔑 Track 1: Access & Assist – Building tools that improve accessibility, inclusivity, and support for communities.

  • ⚡ Track 2: Organise & Optimise – Creating solutions that streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance experiences.

Day 1 – Opening Ceremony + Team Formation

  • Finalist pitches: 12:00pm

  • Judges deliberate: 2:00 – 2:30pm

  • Closing Ceremony & Awards: 2:30pm

  • Networking (with food!): 3:00 – 4:00pm

Requirements

To be eligible, each team must submit via Devpost:

  • ✅ A working prototype hosted on GitHub (or similar)

  • ✅ A clear README with setup instructions, usage, and key features

  • ✅ A 2–3 minute demo video showcasing your solution

  • ✅ Track selection (Access & Assist / Organise & Optimise)

  • ✅ Disclose any open-source libraries, datasets, or AI-generated work used

⚠️ Submissions close Saturday, Aug 30th at 11:59pm. Late submissions will not be accepted unless due to approved technical issues.
