The Hackathon for Social Good is a fast paced, purpose driven innovation sprint where students, developers, and young changemakers come together to build technology that genuinely serves society. Organized by SIO Kerala as part of the UFUQ Science & Technology Fest, this hackathon focuses on using science and technology responsibly, ethically, and for the betterment of communities.

This is an 8 hour in-person hackathon followed by product demos and judging. Participants will work in teams of 1 to 5, choose a theme that resonates with them, and build anything from a working prototype to a design mockup, model, or conceptual solution. The goal is simple: create something that pushes society forward.

What makes this hackathon special is its emphasis on social good, justice, ethical technology, and community impact. The event brings together makers who want to solve real problems, question harmful systems, build with values, and use technology as a force for fairness.
