HackED Beta is a welcoming event that provides a great learning environment for students from any program of study or school (including our high school friends!) Whether or not you have programmed before does not matter! We want you here!
Mentorship
Mentors from cool startups in Edmonton and grad students of the University of Alberta will be available throughout the event to help students along with their projects.
Eligibility
Participants must meet the two requirements unless otherwise allowed by a organizer of HackED Beta.
- Be a student in high school or in their 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of undergraduate studies.
- HackED Beta must be their first or second hackathon.
Requirements
All code must be written at the Hackathon and be publicly available on GitHub.
Prizes
Top 3 Teams
Awarded to the three best projects at HackED Beta.
Servus Best FinTech Project
Awarded to the team with the financial technology project.
Each team member will get a Moxie slim power bank and a $25 Best Buy gift card.
