HackFest 2025 challenges you to design and build a Smart Campus Wallet – a digital experience that helps students manage campus payments, budgets, and daily life in one place.

Your Smart Campus Wallet might help students:

See and understand their spending on and around campus

Track and manage meal plans, dining dollars, and campus card balances

Pay for events, clubs, and campus services from a single interface

Earn rewards or incentives for positive habits

Connect financial decisions to campus life (events, resources, wellbeing)

You are encouraged, but not required, to use the sample data provided in the data/ folder.

AI integration is optional, but encouraged when it clearly improves the experience (for example, by summarizing spending, recommending actions, or answering student questions).

RUN HackFest 2025 – Demo Video Recording Guidelines

Your demo video is one of the most important parts of your Devpost submission. It helps judges clearly understand what you built, why you built it, and how it works.

📌 Demo Video Requirements 1. Length
  • 3 to 5 minutes total

  • Keep it short, clear, and focused

2. Voiceover (Required)

Your video must include narration.

  • Only one teammate needs to speak

  • You do not need to show your face

  • Voiceover should play over your screen recording

  • Reading from notes is completely fine

Silent videos will not be accepted because judges need to hear:

  • The problem you’re solving

  • Your approach

  • The value behind your solution

📌 What Your Video Should Include A. Quick Introduction (10–20 sec)
  • Team name

  • Project name

  • One-sentence summary of your idea

B. Problem Statement (20–30 sec)

Briefly explain the student problem or need your project addresses.

C. Live Demo (2–3 minutes)

Show your project in action:

  • Main screen or dashboard

  • Core features

  • How a student would use it

  • Any unique interactions

  • Optional: sample data

  • Optional: AI integration features

D. Tech Stack Overview (20–30 sec)

List the technologies you used:

  • Programming languages

  • Frameworks

  • APIs

  • Tools

  • Any datasets

E. Closing (10 sec)

End with a simple statement of why your Smart Campus Wallet solution is valuable to students.
