Respect and Inclusivity
HackHer 2025 is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. The event is open to students of all genders, but it exists to prioritize minorities in the field of technology. Any behavior that undermines this mission will not be tolerated.
Prohibited Conduct
Queen’s Women In Computing does not tolerate discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or any other harmful behavior, including but not limited to:
- Harassment of any kind, including offensive verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, or inappropriate physical contact.
- Disruptive behavior that interferes with the event, workshops, or other participants’ experience.
- Unauthorized use of another participant’s work or intellectual property.
- Any actions that violate Queen’s University’s policies, rules, and procedures.
Compliance with University Policies
Upon registering for HackHer at Queen’s University and while a student participates, they:
- Acknowledge the right of QWIC to set standards of conduct.
- Accept and agree to be subject to Queen’s University’s policies, rules, and procedures.
Consequences of Violations
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in removal from HackHer 2025 at the discretion of Queen’s Women In Computing. Additional disciplinary action may be taken in accordance with Queen’s University policies.
Reporting and Support
If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to a HackHer 2025 organizer or Queen’s Women In Computing executive. All reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality.
By participating in HackHer 2025, you agree to uphold these principles and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all.
