How to Add Custom Domain Name

You can add a custom domain name from your Dokan Cloud dashboard. The process is straightforward and you can easily configure it.

We are going to show you how.

Important Note: Any existing AAAA (IPv6) DNS records should be removed before adding our DNS record.

Steps to Add Custom Domain Name

There are two ways to add your custom domain name. Either-

Using cPanel
Using your Hosting dashboard.

If you want to use your Hosting dashboard, you should contact your hosting company for proper guidance. As different hosting company has different kinds of dashboards it isn't easy to show them all. Also, if you have purchased the domain from a different company and hosting from another company, then the procedure becomes more complicated. So it is smart to approach your hosting company for guidance. Note: If a user maps a domain without WWW, they must add the same apex domain (example.com) in Dokan Cloud. If they map their domain with WWW, they need to add the WWW version ( www.example.com) instead. Since Dokan Cloud allows only one custom domain, users should ensure they add the correct version based on their DNS settings.

We will show you how to add a custom domain name using cPanel.

Login to your Dokan cloud dashboard and go to General--> Settings--> Domain. There click on the Add Custom Domain Name button.

As an admin, you can either create a free plan or a premium plan for your vendors.

We will show you how to create and publish subscription plans.

Login to your admin dashboard and go to Subscriptions Plans. There click on the New Plan button.

You will get a whole page where you need to add the necessary details to create your subscription plan.

You need to add-

Plan Name: Add a meaningful subscription plan name

Description: Write the description of your subscription plan

Pricing and Billing: You need to set the pricing of your subscription. Also, you can set a Setup Fee as well. Then you need to add the billing cycle (month, year, week), billing cycle expiration.

You can also set a tax class and and Enable Trial period.

Commission: You need to set the commission as well. You can choose Flat commission or Category Based Commission.

Capabilities: You also need to set the capabilities vendors will get upon buying this subscriptio plan. The capabilities include-

Payment (Stripe, PayPal)

${youtube}Payment You can add quite a few payment options to receive payments from your customers with Dokan Cloud. You will find all the payment options when you navigate to Settings→ Payment.

Note: You will only see the payment methods supported according to your region.

From there you can enable Test Gateway and Cash On Delivery payment methods to receive payments.

In order to use the test payment gateway, you have to mark the customer as a "Test User".

How to Enable Stripe Payment Gateway

To enable the Stripe payment gateway, click on the Connect button beside the Stripe payment gateway.

You will first see the Payment Methods page where all the payment methods available for Stripe-

Go to the Marketing→ Coupons and click on the Add New Coupon button.

On the next page, you will get all the necessary fields to create your coupon. You will get fields like-

Title: Write the title of the Coupon Code

Discount Code: You can manually write discount codes or generate random coupon codes.

Description: You can write a description of the coupon.

Amount: Write the discount amount in $ or %

Free shipping in applied order: You can enable free shipping for the order

Usage Restriction: You can apply the discount code to certain products, for certain customers. And also limit usage per customer.

Usage Limit: You can Set the-

Minimum purchase amount
Minimum quantity of items
Usage limit per coupon

Also, enable the “This coupon cannot be used in conjunction with other coupons” option.

Validation Period: Choose the start date for the discount code. You can also set an expiry date for the coupon as well.

Single Code Coupon

You can use the multiple codes option to generate multiple codes for the number of coupons-
