]]>See what Amazon’s most popular products were yesterday, as well as what’s hot on dozens of other marketplaces like Etsy, eBay, and Google Shopping.
Now, Amazon’s Top 20 lists are far more stable than Etsy’s. Turnover averages about four keywords that weren’t in the previous month’s Top 20. And most of those are either Top 20 “frequent flyers” (e.g., “eggs”) or holiday-related (“valentines day gifts for her”). Occasionally, it’s the latest Amazon Video release to go viral.
But seeing a random product crack Amazon’s Top 20 for the first time ever? Nothing is more deeply thrilling for us data geeks. And there is one this month. [::drum roll::] Ta-da!

As you can see above right, “needoh” has had consistent search volume since at least December 2024. Then this past December, it began to climb; Year on Year, it was up 217%. And it’s kept right on climbing since. February to February, it’s up by 540%!
What’s wild is that this product isn’t remotely new. Needoh was introduced at the New York Toy Fair back in 2010. It’s in the sensory toy niche, with a colorful, playful quality that made it an instant hit. But enough back story for now. The point is that Needoh is neither new on the scene, nor a product that’s only begun to catch on.
That said, if ever Americans needed a fun and satisfying stress ball, we do now. And Needoh has arisen to answer our call, lol. By the way, along with 18th-ranked “needoh,” we also have #373 “nee doh.”

As you can see, search history-wise it’s a very similar story. We’re also seeing several other variations on the name. On its website landing page, maker Schylling variously uses Needoh, NeeDoh, Nee Doh and Nee-doh.
As for whether small sellers can offer the product on Amazon, it appears so. But on popular items, you’d need to navigate potential restrictions, and overall competition would be stiff. The brand sells directly on Amazon. And you’d also compete for the Buy Box with Amazon itself and every other authorized third-party (3P) seller.
The “Buy Box” is Amazon seller slang for being the Featured Offer. It’s the white box on the product detail page that shoppers click to Add to Cart / Buy Now. It makes one seller the default choice and drives 90%+ of sales. The Buy Box is awarded based on competitive pricing, shipping speed, and seller metrics.
Getting the Buy Box typically also requires a professional seller account. Approved Handmade sellers get a pro account for free upon acceptance. All other 3P sellers need to pay $39.99/mo for a pro seller account. So it’s no small gift! And comes with additional savings; sellers without pro accounts pay $0.99 per item to list. Pro accounts come lots of other perks, too – but let’s get back to this month’s Amazon top searches.

This search ranked in 5th place last February. On the other hand, its monthly CTR (click-through rate) this February is a bit higher. And that indicates more purchase intent.
For any of you new to selling online altogether, this will be a useful tip.
On ecommerce sites, click-through rates reflect how many times shoppers clicked listings in their search results. Therefore, CTRs are an indicator of ‘purchase intent.’ These are people more likely searching with the intention to buy, as opposed to those just browsing.
So yes, it’s smart to keep an eye on Amazon’s top keywords. You never know when a niche product like “needoh” will suddenly go viral. But for insight into what’s selling best on Amazon now, look to their click-through rates. It’s why we end every trend report with a Monthly CTR Roundup. You’ll see which of the top Amazon trending products have had the highest CTRs most recently.
The only other climber that wasn’t on the last Top 20 list is “eggs.”

“Eggs” has been a Top 20 frequent flyer since prices first surged to record highs in early 2023. But we doubt any of you are selling eggs on Amazon. So now, let’s go find some more likely prospects.
If you’re here for ideas of what to sell on Amazon, this is for you! Your insider access to which of this month’s Top 250 keywords show the most purchase intent. Keep in mind, these calculations are drawn exclusively from our most recent full month of data. Which means, whatever their 12-mo CTRs, these products are what’s selling best on Amazon now. As for any Valentine-related keywords, add them to a Keyword List. That way, you’ll be a step ahead on your product research for next year.
Now, some of us here at eRank also sell on Amazon. We know how hard it can be to identify items a small seller can do well with. So every Roundup, we hunt for products even Amazon Handmade artisans could get in on. Selling in Amazon Custom is another way a small business can gain an edge over Marketplace competition.
For Amazon Roundups we’ve been using a CTR threshold of 100%. And we’d go through all 500 of Amazon’s top keywords to find qualifiers. Then in January 2026, there were so few, we decided to lower the threshold to 80%.
This month, we have quite an abundance of qualifiers, including some new ones that might be good leads. However, if we reverted the CTR threshold to 100%, these new leads wouldn’t qualify. So for now, we’ll keep our new 80% threshold. Instead, we will limit qualifiers to those in the Top 250, as we do for Etsy Roundups. Let us know what you think!
The only qualifier in the Top 20 this month is #13 creatine. (Supplements always make Amazon Roundups.) The next are #23-24 paper towels and gaming chair, then at #28, another supplement: protein powder. It has a 108% CTR for the month. Haha, and the next is a supplement too, #32 magnesium glycinate; it’s also got 108%.
Strong start here: #53 owala has a monthly CTR of 109%. Then we have #60 mini fridge, #67 air purifier, and #71 water bottle.

This shopper search is at its 15-mo low and that is still nearly 190K searches! What we like best about “water bottle” though is that it’s a product many of you could sell. Offering them personalized, customized, or hand-painted could give you that competitive edge.
Returning to the Roundup, next we have #77 xbox controller, #79 hdmi cable, #81 usb hub. And the last three in the Top 100 are #85 rice cooker, #88 mac mini, and #99 iphone 17 pro max case.
At #111 there’s ethernet cable, followed by Roundup regular #115 standing desk. It has a monthly CTR of 135%! But we featured “standing desk” in the Roundup in our November trend report. Since we like finding fresh leads for you, we’ll move on. Just know that its search rank and CTR stats are even better now than they were then! If you’re here for ideas of what to sell on Amazon, standing desks are well worth researching.
Next up are #121 power bank and #125 couch. Then at #129-130 are shower curtain and wallet. We featured both of the latter in October; both are Roundup regulars. Up next, another supplement, #133 ashwagandha, followed by #136 rtx 5090, #142 macbook pro, and #145 apple pencil. Then at #147 is electric toothbrush, followed by #150 iphone 16.
Here we begin with the pair at #155-156: body wash and protein, followed by #166 tv stand. Next up are #169 trash bags, #171 portable monitor, and #175 shoe rack. “Shoe rack” is another Roundup regular; we featured it most recently in December. Then we have #178 cat litter and #182 keycaps.

Interesting! “Keycaps” is an Etsy Roundup regular, but not so for Amazon. Indeed, we don’t recall ever seeing it qualify on Amazon before.
Now, if you read many of our Etsy trend reports, you know how much we love this product. The reason is its “high barrier to entry.” That’s jargon for a popular item that for specified reasons has low competition. In the case of keycaps, the barrier is the specialized skill required to make these. Mind you, this only applies to the types of keycaps that are allowed to be sold on Etsy.
In Amazon search results, all the keycaps look mass manufactured. But a search for “artisan keycap” turns up 1000+ listings. Here’s its data in Keyword Tool.

And of course there are all the keycap-related searches like custom and resin and spacebar. Lots of way to niche down. Could be worth researching if this is a niche that interests you. And we’ll be keeping an eye out for “keycaps” in Amazon Roundups from now on, too.
Meanwhile, we have CTR high flyer #186 table (110%!), followed by #188 iphone 15. Then three more high flyers: the pair at #190-191 shower head and turbotax 2025, then #200 desk chair. The latter has 119% for the month.
At #205 is jellycat, followed at #215-216 by iphone 17 pro case (123%!) and blue light glasses. Next up, #218 floor lamp, #220 creatine monohydrate, #225 lighter, and #227 desk mat. (We featured “desk mat” in November’s Roundup; one for you Custom sellers?) And then at #235 we have laundry basket, followed by #241-242 heated blanket and journal.

Looks promising! And by the way, related search “leather journal” has an *Average* CTR of 107%! Might be worth having a poke around in Keyword Tool.
And that’s a wrap for this month. We hope some of these prove to be profitable leads for you.

]]>The post Australia’s Top Etsy Keywords: Latest Updates! appeared first on eRank Help.
]]>Tip: See what Australia’s top Etsy searches were yesterday, as well as what’s trending on dozens of other marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, and Google Shopping.
Warning: Beware of trademarked terms. This report may contain keywords that are trademarked: USPTO Trademark Database.
Anyone notice what’s missing from this list of your February highest trending Etsy searches? [SPOILER!] Yep, not a one with the word “valentine.” Last year, you had three in your February Top 20; this one ranked highest.

Dang! The highest ranked mention of “valentine” this year is all the way down at #227; it’s “valentines gifts for him.”
You do have the same number of “valentine” searches as you did last year. They just rank a lot lower. Does this mean romance is dead in Australia? Haha of course not. We’ve seen a dearth of Top 20 February Valentine searches in all four of the Etsy countries we cover here.
Our Pam Duthie has a theory on this. She reckons it’s those enticing Etsy homepage promotions that Etsy does so well. So, rather than type keywords in search, most shoppers just click those “Call to Action” (CTA) buttons. And we bet “gift for women” was one of them.

The CTA button likely wasn’t even labeled “gift for women.” Indeed, it could well have appeared as “Valentine’s Gift for Her.” And Etsy just recorded the search as “gift for women.”
So, what’s the key takeaway here? Which should you use next year? We wouldn’t bother with Etsy’s “gift for women.” As long as you have “valentine” and “gift” somewhere in a tag or your title, and who it’s for (e.g., “her”) you’re fine.
Next, let’s take a quick look at which Top 20 searches weren’t in your Top 20 a month ago. We call these climbers; we like to start with these because typically they are hottest.
You have 14 this month, including two “screamers.” Our pet name for searches that scream into the Top 20, seemingly out of nowhere. Just the month before, they couldn’t even crack the Top 1000.
No. 1: “ring,” up from #123 in January (but “rings” ranked 3rd)
2nd: “womens clothing,” screamer; didn’t make January’s Top 1000
4th: “jewellery,” up from #32 (but “jewelry” ranked 17th)
6th: “pokemon,” up from #21
7th: “rugs,” up from #361 (but “rug” ranked #34)
9th: “2000s prom dress,” up from #695
11th: “gift for women,” up from #787
12th: “sewing pattern,” up from #50
14th: “fivem clothing,” screamer
15th: “engagement gifts,” up from #425
16th: “2026 calendar,” up from #62 (but “calendar” ranked 4th)
17th: “stardew valley,” up from #332
19th: “canva template,” up from #384
20th: “3d printed,” up from #896
Few of these are newsworthy. If their plural or singular form made the previous Top 20 – like No. 1 “ring” – we can skip them. And the near-matches (“2026 calendar” and “calendar;” and “jewellery” / “jewelry.”) As for the three that are protected Intellectual Property (IP), why dwell on what’s off limits to sell, right?
Three more probably got to the top via an Etsy CTA button. As mentioned, “gift for women” is most likely one; “womens clothing” might be, too.

Etsy usually knows what it’s doing when choosing its homepage promos (after all, they have ALL the data.) We think they’ve also been featuring one on your homepage for men’s clothing. “Mens clothing” was one of your climbers last month; it ranked 20th.
And it’s risen even higher this month, taking 13th place. But tellingly, its monthly CTR (click-through rate) is way down from January’s 148%. “Mens clothing” has just 74% now.
As for “womens clothing,” its monthly CTR for February is just 33%. Now, that indicates a decided lack of purchase intent.
Anyone new to selling online? This will be a useful tip.
On ecommerce sites, click-through rates (CTRs) reflect how many times shoppers clicked listings in their search results. Therefore, CTRs are an indicator of ‘purchase intent.’ These are people more likely searching with the intention to buy, as opposed to those just browsing.
You will want to keep up with Australia’s top Etsy keywords, yes. But for insight into which are the Etsy top sellers, look to their click-through rates. It’s why we end these trend reports with a Monthly CTR Roundup. You’ll see which of the current Top 250 keywords have had the highest CTRs most recently.
First though, let’s finish up these climbers. It’s looking like #15 “engagement gifts” is another that shot to the top via an Etsy promo. Canada has the same climber; we don’t recall it ever making a Top 20 before. But while this next one’s also making its Top 20 debut, we believe this to be an organic shopper search.

And “2000s prom dress” is also a unicorn! A term we coined for products with good search and click volume that also have low competition. Well, competition doesn’t get much lower than this! Only 29 Etsy AU listings are currently using this keyword.
Last year, “2000s prom dress” didn’t start really climbing until May. Does its earlier start this year mean it will soar even higher than it is now? We can’t wait to see!
Four “prom” searches made your Top 1000, all of them in the Top 250. The other three are #176 “90s prom dress;” #222 “prom dress;” and #232 “vintage prom dress.” All four have CTRs of 100%+ for the month.
Climber #12 “sewing pattern” also appears worth researching. It’s been at a 15-mo high for three months running. And #19 “canva template” searches are up 126% Year on Year; that one might merit a look, too. But neither has a monthly CTR to touch that of your final climber. It’s currently got a monthly CTR of 149%!

“3d printed” began climbing a year ago in February and stayed high through May. Will it do the same this year? Its current sky-high CTR is certainly a promising sign! And now, let’s go find what else shows promise, shall we?
Here for ideas of what to sell on Etsy? Or maybe to find out what’s selling best on Etsy Down Under these days? Then this is for you! Your insider access to which of this month’s 250 top Etsy searches show the most purchase intent.
Keep in mind, we base these calculations exclusively on our most recent full month of data. Which means that whatever their 12-mo CTRs, these should be the top-selling items on Etsy AU now. As for any Valentine-related searches, add them to a Keyword List. That way, you’ll be a step ahead on your SEO and product research for next year’s Valentine shoppers.
You have seven qualifiers in your Top 20, beginning with #1 ring and high flyer #3 earrings. (“Earrings” has 150%!) Next, the pair at #7-8 rugs and rings. Now, we featured “custom rug” in your Roundup back in November. Recent technology has made rugs both easier and faster to make. In turn, that’s led to loads more social-media posts showcasing rugs, and presto: increased demand!

Wow, beautiful! Even better than we’d hoped! Year on Year, “rugs” is up by 7,400%! Last year, after that February low, searches began climbing and they haven’t dropped below 1,000/mo since. And you have to love those Keyword Stats; every one is in the green. All of which means “rugs” is a unicorn! (And “moroccan rug” is another!)
The rest of your Top 20 qualifiers: #11 gift for women; #18 calendar; and #20 3d printed. Then at #21 you have music posters, followed by #24 vtuber. (We featured unicorn “vtuber” in last month’s Roundup; it has a sky-high CTR for this month, too.) At #26 you have portal, then #33 book nook, #39 nier automata, and #43 chess set. The last two for this group are #46 lingerie and #48 lighting, both high flyers.
Straight out of the gate, a quartet of qualifiers: conch earring, custom cat, card holder, and high flyer bay leaves. Wait: say what now?

Yep, bay leaves are reportedly experiencing something of a “culinary renaissance” in Australia. Indeed, farther down this Roundup, you also have #104 bay leaf and #127 bay leafs. And those too are both CTR high flyers, too.
Now, best practice is to hold off acting on single-month search spikes; they’re apt to crash just as quickly. Also, we’re not finding any sign of this trend in Etsy US, UK, or CA data. Meanwhile, Australian chef Matt Preston is among the culinary celebrities who are promoting bay leaves. And prominent social media influencers have been known to cause one-month spikes like you’re seeing here. Bottom line: add it to a Keyword List first; find out where it goes from here.
Moving on, at #56 you have font, followed by #58 sabrina carpenter. Then at #60-63, another quartet, all with 145%+ CTRs for the month: silver earrings, silver, locket, mens rings. Skip one and there’s a pair, #65-66 fursuit and king charles cavalier. ( “Fursuit” is another we featured in your last Roundup; it’s as unicorn a niche as you could ask for.)
Then starting at #68, you have a septet! Hunter x hunter t shirt, oshikatsu, pendant, necklace pendant, poppy playtime, lightroom presets, and 2026 wall calendar. Skip two for #77 pyrite chips, followed by a trio, #80-82 gold foil skull shirt, punk bracelets, shells.
At #84-85 are animal crossing and armour. We discussed “cosplay” in your December trend report’s Roundup; it’s one of your unicorns. Whether for cosplay or live-action role play, “armour” has made your Roundup two months running. A few more months with 1,000+ searches, high CTRs, and such low competition, t’will be another unicorn!
“Amour” is followed by #88 clothing magnets and #90 journalling. Then next, another quartet: #93-96 monster high, sticker, topo white v3, table lamp. The last two for this group, both high flyers, are #98-99 witches and zippo.
At #103-104 are bear and bay leaf (the second of your three “bay leaf” high flyers; it’s got 146%). Then comes the pair at #106-107 damascus knife and photo album, followed by #112 keycaps.
We haven’t featured “keycaps” in any of your recent Roundups. But it’s one we mention often. “Keycaps” is a frequent flyer on all four countries’ Etsy Roundups, and for all four, it’s a unicorn. So let’s take a quick peek at yours.

See? All stats in the green, including an unusually high 12-mo CTR: 138%. And that Competition stat is what dreams are made of: just 629 Etsy AU listings use it. Looking for ideas of what to sell on Etsy in a niche you could make your own? Keycaps are so worth researching!
Back on the Roundup, at #115 you have pillar candles black, followed by #119 frame. There’s a pair next, #122-123 spring bonnie suit and room decor. Then comes your third “bay leaf” search, #127 bay leafs; it’s got 145%.
From here though, CTR qualifiers are few and far between. The next is #169 fake nails; that’s a search we seldom see. So of course, being data geeks, we had to look it up.

To get excited, we’d need several more months with 1,000+/mo search volume. But given how frequently “press on nails” is one of Australia’s top Etsy keywords, “fake nails” is worth watching. See whether it develops. In the meantime, while we’re here, here’s how “press on nails” looks.

Interesting; last year too, your “press on nails” searches were low in Dec-Feb. From there though, they soared well above 5,000/mo March through June, with two more nice jumps in Sep-Nov. Might it do the same this year?
In every country we cover here, “press on nails” has been a Top 20 frequent flyer for years. In the US and UK, competition for “press on nails” is too high to achieve unicorn status. For both Canada and Australia though, all stats are green for go!
As for “fake nails,” add that to a Keyword List before you go changing your SEO. It could be just a one-off; all four countries have the “Trending in Search” badge this week. So it could well be a current Etsy promo. We’ll be watching for it too from now on.
And now, our last qualifier for this Roundup; it’s #217 lana del rey. The rumor is that a tour announcement for Australia is expected soon. (In any case, pretty much everything to do with contemporary celebs is protected by personality rights.) We hope some of these others prove to be profitable leads for you!

]]>Tip: See what Canada’s top Etsy keywords were yesterday, as well as on dozens of other marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, and Google Shopping.
Warning: Beware of trademarked terms. This report may contain keywords that are trademarked. USPTO Trademark Database.
Interesting! Last year in February, all three top spots in your Top 20 were searches with the word “valentine.” There were two more in your Top 20. This year, your Top 20 has just three altogether, only one of which is in your Top 3. And it’s an odd one to find ranking so high.

A year ago, your No. 2 search in February was “valentines gift for her.” Here’s how that one is doing now.

What the heck?! Such a perennially popular search too. And no near-match of this search made this year’s February Top 1000, either. Who knows what happened. But there are some good lessons to be learned here.
You have 13 climbers this month; two of them what we data geeks fondly call “screamers.” (Because they seem to scream into the Top 20 out of nowhere. Just a month ago, these hadn’t even cracked your Top 1000.)
Ranked 2nd: “valentine download,” screamer
7th: “planner,” up from #73
8th: “engagement gifts,” up from #966
9th: “home decor,” up from #71
10th: “jewelry,” up from #31
11th: “rings,” up from #29
14th: “valentines,” up from #68
15th: “y2k,” screamer
16th: “ring,” up from #43
17th: “shirt,” up from #42
18th: “poster,” up from #126
19th: “wedding dress,” up from #85
20th: “ayn thor,” up from #409
Here’s a look at your other screamer, “y2k.”

There’s another “y2k” search in your Top 1000, #769 “y2k prom dress.” That tells you who the target market is for “y2k”: Gen Z. Y2K fashion and culture has been popular with that demographic for years now. We see no sign of it waning in 2026.
Turning now to your climbers, only three weren’t at least in your Top 100 a month ago.

We’re not sure we’ve ever seen this keyword in a Top 20 before. Wedding searches, yes; plenty. But not engagement-related searches. Which isn’t to say “engagement gifts” is not a solid keyword: it absolutely is.
In the past 15 months, it hasn’t dropped below a thousand searches/mo. Its Average CTR (click-through rate) is above average. Yes, Competition is in the red, but that’s expected for such a broad and popular keyword. Anyway, you’d automatically niche down by specifying what your gift item is. Could your product make a good couple’s gift?

“Poster” is one of your Top 20 regulars. And its CTRs reflect its popularity with Etsy’s Canadian shoppers. At 122%, its average click-through rate is well above average. So, don’t let that Competition stat discourage you. There are ways to still get found.
For instance, say you had “engagement gift” (lots of competition) and “poster” (lots of competition) in your listing tags. Taken together though, they would have less competition because your keyphrase has become more specific: “engagement gift poster.” And for a shopper using both those keywords to search, your product would also rank higher. To top it off, “poster” has a fantastic CTR for the month: 148%. Loads of purchase intent.
Are any of you folks new to selling online? Then this will be a useful tip.
Tip! On ecommerce sites, click-through rates (CTRs) reflect how many times shoppers clicked listings in their search results. Therefore, CTRs are an indicator of ‘purchase intent.’ It suggests people more likely searching with the intention to buy, as opposed to those just browsing.
You do want to keep up with which of Canada’s top Etsy keywords are trending. But for insight into what’s selling best on Etsy, look to their click-through rates. It’s why we end these trend reports with a Monthly CTR Roundup. It lists which of your top 250 keywords have had the highest CTRs most recently.
First though, a quick look at the third of your three highest fastest climbers.

This data is for Thor, a new Android-based handheld gaming device by AYN Technologies. Released mid-January and hotly anticipated; by August 2025, it already had its own sub on Reddit. Of course, the device itself doesn’t qualify to be sold on Etsy. But eRank data shows related searches like “ayn thor grip,” buttons, cases, accessories are trending on Etsy Canada.
At first glance, this niche appears to be one of those unicorns we talked about last month. A popular product; four consecutive months of searches ramping up (3,750 for February); above average CTRs. All coupled with low Etsy Competition, which doesn’t get much lower than this. Our concern is Intellectual Property. Researching how the brand wants its trademarks and product images used should be your first step.
Meanwhile, let’s go see if we can find some more of these unicorns, eh?
Here for ideas of what to sell on Etsy? Wondering what’s selling best on Etsy these days? Then this is for you! It’s your insider access to which of this month’s 250 highest trending Etsy searches show the most purchase intent.
For these Roundups, we draw our calculations exclusively from your most recent full month of data. So, regardless of their 12-mo CTRs, most of these should be what’s selling best on Etsy in Canada now. As for any of interest that are valentine-related, add those to a Keyword List. That way, you’ll be a step ahead on product research for next year’s shoppers.
Just three qualifiers in your Top 20 this month. Compared with recent months, that may seem low, but it’s actually a return to normal. These are #10 jewelry, #12 valentines day, and #18 poster. Moving on to the rest of the Top 50, next up you have a quartet. Ranked #24-27, these are pottery, psychic reading, black, and bags. Let’s have a look at “psychic reading.”

“Psychic reading” is undeniably a unicorn. Stats in the green across the board. Barely more than 3,000 Canadian Etsy listings use this keyword. Of course, one reason for that is its “high barrier to entry.” It requires specialized expertise. That said, if you’re researching what to sell on Etsy, this niche has been popular with Canadian shoppers for years.
Back on the Roundup, we drop to #42-43 for the next qualifiers, vtuber model and stickers. We talked a lot about unicorn “vtuber model” in your report last month. It screamed into your Top 20 in January. While it’s dropped a bit in rank since, it’s more than made up for it in purchase intent! Its monthly CTR has soared from 97% to 150%!
And this section ends with a quartet, all with 147%+ CTRs for the month. At #47-50, these are coasters, phone case, nails, and scx30.
At #51 is ribbon, followed by sword. Unicorn alert!

Reviewing the keywords for the Etsy Categories’ Top 100 lists, we noticed just how many were costume-related. Might seem weird for February, but it isn’t. All these searches are for cosplay and live-action role-play (LARP), and they trend year round on Etsy. Because Etsy is ideal for players to get their needs for even the most obscure gear met.
Cosplay and larping have been wildly popular for decades now. So we were surprised that Competition stat – fewer than 6,000 Canadian listings – isn’t far higher for “sword.” (It sure is for the US, where it also has the badge for high conversion, i.e., sales.) Maybe this activity hasn’t gone quite so mainstream viral in Canada yet? We know you already have roleplaying conventions, major events, active communities coast to coast. We see opportunity here, with countless ways to get in on it, whatever your niche.
Back on the Roundup, another quartet of high flyers: #55-58 valentine, valorant, vampire, headphone sprout. Skip two and there’s a pair, trophy and tumbler. (“Trophy” shows unicorn potential; check it out.) At #66 is plants and from there we have to jump to #93 for the next: coloring book.

We almost passed this one by without a closer look because we assumed competition would be overwhelming. Turns out that’s true for Etsy US but again, not so for you. Which in turn means we’re looking at another unicorn here! Search volume is a little more uneven than optimal, but that is the sole drawback we see. Also note: related search coloring pages ranks #187 with a monthly CTR of 146%.

Clearly, these products are popular!
Here we have another pair of monthly CTR high flyers: #102-103 book embosser and weekly planner. Skip just one and there’s locket, then #108 winnie the pooh baby shower. From there, we skip ahead to #115-116 for another pair, floor cushion and figure skating dress.
A trio is next, all high flyers: #118-120 engagement ring box, embroidered linen wedding dress, genshin. We talked about “genshin” in the US report. Creator HoYoverse is the rare rights-holder that allows you to sell fan art based on its characters. (You do need to abide by their guidelines. Here’s a link to their landing page that will take you to the specifics.)
At #122 is dwa, followed by a trio: #124-126 croc charms, custom logo tshirt, cushion covers. Skip one and there’s comfort colors mockup. Skip one again and at #130-133 you have a quartet: 40k, arcane, arc raiders, aqara wedge. Next up, the pair at #135-136: aerith and camera.

Not quite a unicorn yet; we’d need to see a bit more search volume. Otherwise though, this keyword has real potential. If you’re here for ideas of what to sell on Etsy, cameras look worth researching.
Meanwhile, starting at #138 you have a remarkable run of qualifiers, all with 146%+ for the month! Long sleeve white linen dress, loutre, leather notebook, gta 5 mapping lspd, key chain, marble tray. Then mens goth pants, ipad, meshtastic, mixtape, soap, superhero affirmation prints and suncatcher.
And the hits just keep on coming! From #153-161: tucson, ramadan planner, resume, r53, notion template and its plural notion templates, osrs, pillow leopard, pierbe. Skip just one and there’s a trio: skiing, signs, muslin. After these, we drop to #174 for laptop sleeve.

Hey, we love the look of these! Such a wide array of materials and ways to make them. Here too we’d like to see more search volume before we call “laptop sleeve” a unicorn. But it’s been 1,450+ for two months running, both months with sky-high CTRs.
Resuming our Roundup, at #176-178 you have a trio: iran, mvp award, pendant. Skip just one and there’s a pair: beaded necklaces and 90s. Then at #184 is crochet flowers. Crochet is another niche we talked about in this month’s US trend report. Also, a noticeable number of crochet-related searches made a handful of Category Top 100 lists in Monthly Trends this month. So we checked Keyword Tool: Canada’s “crochet flowers” performed really well March through May last year; will it repeat?
As already mentioned, at #187 you have coloring pages with 147%. It’s followed by two more high flyers, #188-189 personalised date print and mountain. At #194 you have medals, then a pair: #197-198 canvas prints with gold and cherub. And this group’s last qualifier is #200 back patches.
Here we begin with #203 tagelharpa kit. (We had to look that one up. It’s an ancient Viking musical instrument.) We checked Keyword Tool; so far, it’s got just a one-month search spike. And so far, Canada has 100% of the global shopper pie. We don’t see that often; one to watch?
Next, an octet of qualifiers: #207-214 folk wedding, fish keychain, eriophorum, disney, daggerheart, custom twitch emotes, pomegranate, redline. We talked about making stuff for twitch streamers in this month’s UK report. It’s a unicorn niche, for sure worth researching.
There’s a pair next: #217-218 nanalan and mtg proxy cube, followed by #221 maplestory. At #223-224, you have another pair: lego and katar. Then there’s #228 morrocan [sic] lamp. (Spelled correctly, “moroccan lamp” has no worthwhile search volume. And the Keyword Tool data for the misspelled version is limited to this month’s single-mo spike. So, maybe hold off on this one.)
At #232, you have magic carpet. Curious, we looked up this one on Etsy’s Canadian site. All the top products were Persian-style rugs; gorgeous but not magic per se. Like #203 “tagelharpa kit,” this search is another single-month spike for which Canada has the entire global shopper pie. In both cases, best practice is to hold off; see where they go from here. Often these one-month spikes turn out to be just that: one month and done.
Only three more for this month’s Roundup, but all have 145%+. At #243-244 are anime and 999 silver chain men, and the last is #247 yearly debt tracker.
We hope some of these leads will prove to be profitable for you!

]]>Here are 10 Etsy product ideas showing strong demand, high engagement, and promising opportunities for sellers right now.
Luggage StickersSeasonal + Personalization = Smart Summer Play

Searches spike May–August, right before peak travel season. More importantly, clicks slightly exceed searches. That signals buyers aren’t just curious, they’re comparing listings.
This niche works because it taps into:
Seller Takeaway: List early. Focus on customization, bundles, and waterproof durability messaging.
Cherry T-ShirtMicro-Aesthetic Trend with Spring Momentum

Demand builds February–May as shoppers refresh wardrobes. The CTR above 100% shows strong engagement; buyers are actively browsing multiple options.
But this is not just a “fruit shirt.”
It aligns with:
Seller Takeaway: Differentiate through design style (vintage, minimalist, baby tee cuts). Aesthetic positioning matters more than volume here.
Sword EarringsHigh Engagement, Low Competition Jewelry Niche

This is one of the strongest opportunity gaps on the list.
Demand is steady throughout the year with multiple spikes (Feb, late summer, holidays). Competition remains surprisingly manageable.
The niche overlaps with:
Seller Takeaway: Explore variations (dainty vs bold, silver vs gold, fantasy vs minimalist). Strong branding can dominate here.
Bear Crochet PatternSeasonal Craft Demand But Untapped Potential

Searches have been climbing steadily since January–February this year. However, the low CTR suggests buyers aren’t fully engaging with the current listings which often means the existing offers aren’t quite matching shopper expectations.
This creates a different kind of opportunity: expand and improve the offer itself.
Seller Takeaway:
Focus on:
Better presentation could capture under-converted traffic.
Ita BagThe Breakout High-Conversion Niche

This is the standout.
Massive demand. Extremely high engagement. Relatively low competition compared to volume.
Spikes occur in September and November–December, likely tied to convention season and holiday gifting.
Ita bags tap into:
Seller Takeaway: Clear window backpacks, themed inserts, and fandom-aligned designs could perform exceptionally well here.
Couple NecklaceSentimental Jewelry with Consistent Gift Demand

Couple necklaces show strong engagement, with clicks noticeably exceeding searches (116% CTR). This suggests buyers are actively comparing listings rather than just browsing.
Search interest tends to rise around major gifting moments, especially Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, and the holiday season but demand remains steady year-round.
This niche works because it taps into:
Seller Takeaway: Offer customization options such as initials, coordinates, or birthstones. Listings that emphasize emotional storytelling and personalization tend to perform best.
Diploma FrameSeasonal Graduation Demand with Strong Engagement

Diploma frames show a strong signal: clicks significantly exceed searches (126% CTR), indicating buyers are exploring multiple listings before making a purchase.
Search trends peak in spring and early summer, aligning with graduation season. Demand is heavily concentrated in the United States, reflecting strong graduation traditions and gifting behavior.
This niche works because it aligns with:
Seller Takeaway: Consider personalized frames that include school names, graduation years, or engraved messages. Listing early ahead of graduation season can help capture ranking momentum.
Whimsigoth DecorAn Emerging Aesthetic Trend in Home Decor

“Whimsigoth” blends mystical, gothic, and whimsical elements and the style has been gaining traction across social media and interior design communities.
With searches and clicks closely aligned (109% CTR), shoppers appear highly engaged and actively exploring options within this aesthetic niche.
The trend overlaps with several popular decor movements:
Seller Takeaway: Products like celestial wall art, moon decor, gothic candles, or mystical trinket dishes can perform well in this category. Cohesive branding around the aesthetic is key.
Bookmark SVGDigital Craft Files with Consistent Maker Demand

Bookmark SVG files attract both hobbyists and small businesses using cutting machines like Cricut or Silhouette.
With searches and clicks nearly equal (96% CTR), this keyword reflects steady demand and active browsing behavior.
Digital craft niches tend to perform well because they offer:
Seller Takeaway: Offer themed bundles such as teacher gift bookmarks, book lover designs, or seasonal reading themes. Clear previews and multiple file formats can increase conversion.
Hydrangea PrintClassic Floral Wall Art with Seasonal Momentum

Floral wall art remains a staple of Etsy home decor, and hydrangea prints show steady interest with balanced search and click activity.
Demand increases during spring and early summer, when shoppers refresh home decor and botanical artwork becomes more popular.
This niche performs well because it connects with:
Seller Takeaway: Offer variations such as watercolor hydrangeas, vintage botanical illustrations, and printable wall art bundles to appeal to different decorating styles.
These product ideas share a few key signals.
First, click engagement is high, in many cases, clicks exceed searches, showing buyers are actively comparing listings.
Second, many align with identity-driven or seasonal purchases, from gifts and fandom items to home decor trends.
Finally, timing matters. Several keywords show seasonal spikes, meaning sellers who list early can capture demand before competition grows.
The opportunity isn’t just high demand, it’s high demand paired with strong engagement and manageable competition.

]]>The post The UK’s Top Etsy Keywords: Latest Updates! appeared first on eRank Help.
]]>See what the UK’s top Etsy searches were yesterday, as well as on dozens of other marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, and Google Shopping.
Warning: Beware of trademarked terms. This report may contain keywords that are trademarked. USPTO Trademark Database.
Big changes here compared with your February Top 20 last year. Back then, eight of your Top 20 were Valentine-related, seven of them in the Top 10. Nine searches had the word “gift.” And “mothers day” ranked 14th.
This year, your Top 20 valentine searches are down to two. “Gift” appears just three times. And “mothers day” got booted out altogether; it ranks #25 now. All of which does make room for lots of climbers, including two we’ve never seen make a Top 20. In fact, one ranks No. 1.

“Screamer” is our pet name for Top 20 keywords that hadn’t even cracked the Top 1000 the month before. This one though, as you can see above right, has no search history at all. In that respect, it looks a lot like your other screamer. Have a look.

We doubt this one is a shopper search. Most likely it was promoted somewhere prominent on the Etsy UK homepage. We do find Etsy usually knows what it’s doing. One sign: this keyword’s CTR (click-through rate) exceeds 100%. That means UK shoppers who clicked the promo went on to click through lots of individual listings.
So, is “valentine downloads” an Etsy plant, too? We’re not sure. Its 71% CTR reflects significantly less purchase intent. Also, there are only two searches with “download” in your Top 1000. That said, both are in your Top 20. Here’s a quick look at the other one, climber “digital download.”

Aha! If “valentine downloads” did reach the top spot via an Etsy promo, we can see why Etsy pushed it. “Digital download” reached a 15-mo high in January. And it’s higher now. Wonder if it will continue climbing even higher? And speaking of which, let’s get to listing your 12 climbers.
Here are all your February climbers, in order by current rank, followed by their rank (if any) in January.
Ranked 1st: “valentine downloads,” screamer
3rd: “valentines card,” up from #83
4th: “amethyst gift,” screamer
6th: “gifts for him,” up from #170
7th: “fallout,” up from #261
8th: “3d printed,” up from #24
9th: “digital download,” up from #49
10th: “ring,” up from #37 (but rings was #17)
11th: “candles,” up from #68
12th: “necklace,” up from #47
14th: “heated rivalry,” up from #107
17th: “vintage,” up from #56
Not much else is surprising here. Apart from the two hit TV shows, most of the rest are holiday- and gift-related. Eighth-ranked “3d printed” barely climbed at all, just up from #24. It has become one of the UK’s top Etsy searches. And we’re seeing an increase in 3d printed items being given as gifts. Still, “3d printed” nudged out several that are traditionally more popular in February, so we took a look.

Now, this is what we like to see in a Top 20 search. For a 12-month average, that 123% CTR stat signifies plenty of purchase intent!
Are any of you new to selling online? This will be a useful tip.
On ecommerce sites, click-through rates (CTRs) reflect how many times shoppers clicked listings in their search results. Therefore, CTRs are an indicator of ‘purchase intent.’ These are people more likely searching with the intention to buy, as opposed to those just browsing.
You’ll want to keep up with the UK’s top Etsy keywords, yes. But for insight into what’s selling best on Etsy, look to their click-through rates. It’s why we end these trend reports with a Monthly CTR Roundup. It lists which of your top 250 keywords have had the highest CTRs most recently.
Here for ideas of what to sell on Etsy? Then this is for you! Your insider access to which of this month’s 250 top searches on Etsy show the most purchase intent.
Now, for these Roundups, we draw our calculations exclusively from your most recent full month of data. So, regardless of their 12-mo CTRs, most of these should be what’s selling best on Etsy in the UK now. As for any that are Mother’s Day or Valentine related, add them to an earmarked Keyword List. That way, you’ll be a step ahead on product research for next year’s shoppers.
You have two qualifiers in your Top 20. We’ve already talked about 3d printed. Here’s the other.

Last year, “vintage” searches dropped in March. But that gold badge shows it’s still among the UK’s top Etsy searches through the first week of March. So hopefully it won’t this year; we’ll have our fingers crossed for you vintage sellers. Meanwhile, on to the rest of the Top 50.
Next is #23 valentine getting all the love with a 150% CTR for February. Skip two and there’s a pair we’re quite relieved to see: #26-27 mug and mugs.

“Mug” also has a sky-high CTR for the month and the gold “Trending in Search!” badge. Was anyone else getting concerned about the whereabouts of these two? Because one or the other and occasionally both used to be Etsy Top 20 regulars. Especially in the UK.
To be honest, we’ve been shook by their absence. As you can see on the line chart, searches in February 2025 dropped alarmingly. In a month, “mugs” crashed from #13 to #98. Since then, Top 20 sightings have been scarce. This past December, their performance did improve, but that was peak Christmas. The month before (also peak holiday gift shopping), “mugs” had ranked down at #206!
Did any of you mug sellers noticed a corresponding drop in sales? Because overall, mug/mugs’ monthly CTRs didn’t crater like their search counts did. So we’re hoping that translated into sales holding up, too. And even more, we hope whatever caused this dearth of mug searches has passed. (We’ll keep our fingers crossed for you guys, too.)
Resuming the Roundup, at #30 is roblox, followed by a pair: #36-37 womens clothing and twitch overlays. Need ideas of what to sell on Etsy? Here’s a lead for you!

Last month, we coined the term “unicorn” for keywords like this one. So-called because so many sellers state as fact that Etsy’s become hopelessly oversaturated. How it’s now impossible to find a niche with good search volume and low competition. Well then, here’s a unicorn.
A year ago this month, only two twitch-related searches made your Top 1000, none in the Top 100. This year, there are seven, three of them in the Top 100. And six out of the seven have current CTRs of 146%+! Exceptional purchase intent.
This one, “twitch overlays,” is the highest-ranked. Year on Year, its searches are up an incredible 11,400%. And that 125% Average CTR is well above average. But of course what puts it firmly in unicorn territory is that Competition stat. Fewer than 3,000 Etsy UK listings have this keyword.
We talked a lot about online content creators in this month’s US trend report. Specifically, the niche of supplying them with the custom digital graphics they require. We’ve been watching demand grow and grow, and yet Competition has still not caught up. Looking for what’s selling best on Etsy in a niche you can make your own? This is one.
Back on our Roundup, there’s a pair next, both high flyers: #39-40 t shirt and birthday. And the last three are #46-48 iron lung, keycaps, and skyrim.
This group fires off with #55 dnd. Skip just one and you have signet ring and scrapbook. Skip one again and there’s another pair, slime and fnaf. Then at #65 is twitch; it has a 149% CTR for the month, followed by #68 prom dress.

When doing our initial skim through your Top 1000 this month, we were surprised by all the “prom” ones. We’d heard prom wasn’t really a thing in the UK. Well, clearly, we were behind the times! You’ve got eight prom-related searches in your Top 1000. Last year in February, you had just the one, “prom dress,” ranked #546 with an unenthused 89% monthly CTR.
What a difference a year makes, eh? Currently, “prom dress” has unicorn status. But if you’re interested, you had better be quick. Experts say most UK students begin shopping between January and March for summer proms.
And from here, there’s a burst of qualifiers, every one of them a high flyer! First there’s #70 valentines gift for her. Skip two and there’s cross stitch pattern and cross stitch; skip one and there’s jewelry [sic]. Then at #79, another twitch-related search: twitch emotes; it has 148%. That one is actually the first of a trio; the other two are tote bag and flowers.
At #83-84 you have digital planner and clothing. And then at #86-93, an octet, all high flyers! Custom pokemon card, desk, leather, phone charm, mousepad, personalised mug (148%!), notepads and netball girl definition. And the final one is #95 therian wolf mask.
At #104 is dm screen, followed by #107 sticker; it has 148%. From there, we need to drop down to #124 for the next qualifier. It’s jellycat paired with #125 bag charm. A quartet is next, #133-136 space marine, moroccan rug, nursery prints, birthday invitation. That “moroccan rug” rang a bell, so we checked. Turns out it ranked even higher back in January and had a 149% CTR for the month. So we decided to go see what we could see in Keyword Tool.

Wow, that was quite the spike it had in January! Nonetheless, search volume for “moroccan rug” is at its second-highest peak in 15 months now. Year on Year, it is up by 2,650%.
And check out that Keyword Stats chart. We do love an Average CTR that’s well above average. And of course, best of all: fewer than 7,500 Etsy UK listings use this keyword. All of which means that yes indeedy, we’ve found another unicorn.
Back on our list of qualifiers, the next is #138 glass wall art. We like this one too. Especially the 149% CTR it’s got for February. More challenging competition though (nearly 40,000 listings), and its Average CTR is lower. On the other hand, the UK has 35% of the global shopper pie for “glass wall art.” Isn’t that about three times the size of your usual slice?
Then at #145, you have galaxy a14 phone case coquette pink bow. (That pink bow coquette aesthetic is still going strong in 2026!) And the final three here are #147 fallout keycaps, #149 custom, and #150 cry of fear.
Starting right at #151, you’ve got a septet of qualifiers. These are budget planner, cat bed, columbina, coffee mug, notion templates, nursery wall art, and notebook. Then starting at #160, a dozen! The first six: arc raiders, ankara short and blazer, amekaji, 1940s, b737, and abaya. The rest: tekken, severance, sailor moon, valorant, wallet, and tshirt design png. Skip one and you have knight armor.
Now, just the other day we saw a keyword trending in Accessories we didn’t recognize, “bascinet.” Turns out it’s a 14th-century armored helmet. Which struck us as hilariously obscure, especially for February. Yet here we find one of the UK’s top Etsy searches is “knight armor.” Huh!

Might this be another unicorn? Before we call it, we’d need to see more sustained search volume than just two months’ worth. But for those of you looking for what to sell on Etsy in a low-competition niche? This trend could be one to watch. Not even kidding: the aesthetic is variously called medievalcore, neo-medieval, and castlecore. And one of its drivers is “hollow knight,” which happens to be coming right up.
First though are #174-179 jewellery box, minecraft, house md, matcha, magic the gathering and leather jacket. Skip one and then comes your hollow knight. It’s got 148% and we must say, it has been making a lot of Etsy Roundups.
Moving on, next you have three pairs in a row. At #184-185 are moon and fallout keycaps. Then at #189-190, amethyst and aston villa. And at #192-193 are rust twitch drops and raspberry pi, followed by #195 robux and #197 pearl.
Straight out of the gate, a pair of high flyers: #201-202 anime and anime keychain. In this month’s US Roundup, we also talked about all things anime. Come to think, anime may well be the longest-lasting trend we’ve seen since we started doing these trend reports. So of course, the broad keyword “anime” has a ton of competition. But not so its partner!

As discussed in the US report, the chief stumbling block with anime isn’t competition. It’s this: the anime most shoppers want is protected Intellectual Property (IP). And the chance a mere mortal Etsy seller can get licensed to use that are mostly nil. But wait! We do know of one very popular exception: Genshin Impact.
As long as you adhere to its guidelines, rights-holder HoYoverse allows fans to create and sell fan-made merchandise. Such as, for instance, anime keychains? If so, that would mean this product would very much qualify as a unicorn, yay! Here is the landing page on the HoYoverse website that will take you to the specific guidelines.
Wrapping up our Roundup, next up is a trio: #211-213 wooper, body pillow, and ayn thor skin. They are followed by #221 bridgerton and #231 horse. Then at #238-239, there’s a pair: noren and nigeria shirt. The final three for this month are #241 draculaura g3 and the pair at #245-246: 2d vtuber (with 147%) and tf2.
We hope some of these prove to be profitable leads for you!

Yay! A niche product we’ve been recommending for a couple years is making its Top 20 debut!

Year on Year, “ita bag” search volume is up 125%. Even better, see that gold “High Conversion” badge? It tells us that many shoppers who used this keyword in the past 30 days added to carts and purchased. No surprise there; “ita bag” has been a regular high flyer in our Monthly CTR Roundups. We’ve featured it several times in the past couple of years, most recently in Canada’s January Roundup.
Never heard of these? Ita-bags are any kind of handbag, tote or backpack that’s covered in badges, buttons, dangling dolls and whatnot. It’s a Kawaii thing: the “all things cute and nostalgic” trend. Which is HUGE. Has been for years, and no sign of stopping. This is a global trend.
Best of all, “ita bag” still has such accessible Etsy US competition! Fewer than 4,000 listings have this keyword. That’s practically miraculous for such a popular product. And competition is even less in the UK, Canada and Australia.
In last month’s US trend report, we mentioned we’ve begun calling keywords like this “unicorns.” Because everywhere, we keep hearing even expert sellers claiming Etsy’s way too saturated now. How it’s no longer possible to find a niche with high demand and low competition. Doesn’t seem like that to us; in every Roundup, we find some. So: are you here for ideas of what to sell on Etsy in a niche you could make your own? Here you go: ita-bags.
Next, we’ll take a quick look at which of the top searches on Etsy are climbing fastest. Then we’ll see which products are selling best now.
In current rank order, here are February’s climbers, followed by their rank in January.
Ranked 3rd: “crochet pattern,” up from #45
6th: “ita bag,” up from #32
9th: “iron lung,” screamer (didn’t rank in January’s Top 1000)
11th: “gifts for him,” up from #538 (singular was #185)
12th: “svg,” up from #77
13th: “digital,” up from #41
14th: “wall art,” up from #25
16th: “crochet patterns,” up from #141
18th: “mug,” up from #46
19th: “sticker,” up from #24 (plural was #2)
20th: “crochet,” up from #21
All things crochet are dominating the top keywords on Etsy now. Seventeen searches with the word “crochet” made this month’s Top 1000, 15 of them in the Top 100. Three reached the Top 20. Here’s the highest ranked.

Back in January, there were just eight crochet searches in the Top 1000. But seven of them had sky-high monthly click-through rates (CTRs). So it’s neat to see that gold High Conversion badge for “crochet pattern.” It shows that all that January listing clicking did indeed convert to sales in February.
Next on our list is this month’s screamer, 9th-ranked “iron lung,” an indie film released January 30. It’s a major box office hit, generating nearly 25,000 Etsy searches in February – but! The only *legal* merch is from the movie’s website, the creator’s clothing brand website, and authorized retailer Hot Topic. So, it’s best we move on, but before we do, a note about its creator, Markiplier. He’s a YouTuber, and from that he was able to self-finance “Iron Lung,” which earned $21 million its opening weekend.
For a couple of years here, we’ve been reporting on trends related to YouTubers’ Etsy searches. Online content creators rely on graphic artists for digital products. SVGs, for instance.

Interesting: “svg” had a 150% monthly CTR back in January. Then over the course of February, that developed into significant purchase activity. It’s fun for us data geeks to watch this unfold in real time. A month of high click-through rates is followed by a month with a notable increase in purchasing. We’re seeing “purchase intent” converting to statistically-significant purchasing.
For those of you who are new to selling online, here’s an explainer.
On ecommerce sites, click-through rates (CTRs) reflect how many times shoppers clicked listings in their search results. Therefore, CTRs are an indicator of ‘purchase intent.’ These are people more likely searching with the intention to buy, as opposed to those just browsing.
You’ll want to keep up with the top keywords on Etsy now, yes. But for insight into which are selling best, look to their click-through rates. It’s why we end these trend reports with a Monthly CTR Roundup. You’ll see which of the current Top 250 keywords have had the highest CTRs most recently.
Analyzing monthly CTRs is how we spot opportunities for you. Those “unicorns” we mentioned: high-ranked products selling well in niches with low competition. For example, for a couple years we’ve been reporting here on search activity related to PNGTubers and VTubers. (We featured “pngtuber” in our Roundup last month.)
They need custom avatars; SVGs for their logos and banners; video assets like emotes, overlays. We know they are searching Etsy for these, and sky-high monthly CTRs tell us they’ve had excellent purchase intent. Yet Etsy competition in the niche is still invitingly low.
And hey, who knows? You might wind up working with an online content creator who becomes as successful as Markiplier. In any case, it’s a way to niche down Competition stats like we see here for climber “digital.”

“Digital” has the highest monthly CTR of our 11 climbers: it’s 150%, as high as they go. Competition, though: good grief, nearly 16 million listings in the US alone! Digital products is among the categories that those Etsy gloom & doomers claim is too saturated. We beg to differ: all the afore-mentioned gear YouTubers, PNGTubers and VTubers need is digital. Here’s a sneak peak at one from this month’s Roundup.

“Model” is another name for the digital avatars that VTubers need for their appearances. Quality custom designs command high prices ($2,000+). And VTubers are coming to Etsy for them! Monthly searches average 24,000+. Average CTR well above average. Yet competition is in the green!
And now, let’s go see if we can find some more unicorns, shall we?
Here for ideas of what to sell on Etsy? Then this is for you! Your insider access to which of this month’s 250 top searches on Etsy show the most purchase intent. Keep in mind, these calculations are drawn exclusively from our most recent full month of data. Which means, whatever their 12-mo CTRs, these are the products that are selling best now.
We’ve got seven qualifiers in this month’s Top 20, starting with the trio at #1-3 stickers, tshirt, pokemon. Then of course #6 ita bag, followed by #13 digital, #15 keycaps, and #19 sticker. Moving on to the rest of the Top 50, at #21 is high flyer shirt with 150% for February. But there are just two more qualifiers in this group of 50: #41 painting and #49 phone case.
At #55 we have 520 bad bunny svg, followed by #58 bookmark. Then at #61 is car accessories; it has a 150% CTR for the month. Since it also had 150% in our last Roundup, we thought we’d have a look.

That wildly-high spike back in September makes all the other months look like slackers. Actually, monthly searches average 27,000+. Average CTR is above average. As for its monthly CTRs: we checked back through December. For at least three months straight, it’s had 150%!
With over half a million listings for competition, you’ll need to niche down. But in a category as broad as car accessories, that shouldn’t be too difficult. And now back to our Roundup.
Next up, three high flyers: #74 pins and the pair at #78-79 candle and fursuit; “fursuit” has 144%. We featured “fursuit” in January’s Roundup. As we’ve said for years, we see opportunity here. Looking for what to sell on Etsy that sells really well in a niche you could make your own? For crying out loud, “fursuit headbase” is the No. 1 search in Clothing now! Think about that.
At #82 is vtuber (150%!), followed by #84 slime and #87 wallet. And just five more qualifiers in this month’s Top 100. They are #89 fallout; #92 620 bunny bowl png; #94 dnd; #98 digital products and #100 kawaii. The last two both have 150%.
Here we open with our first quartet of qualifiers: #109-112 tshirts, plant, limbus company, heart. Next up, #117 badge reel; #119 anime (150%!); #122 dnd dice and #124 vtuber model. At #127-128 there’s a pair and both have 150%: dog and dinosaur. Just three more in this group, but they’re all high flyers: #132 dispatch; #140 taxidermy; and #145 hoodie.
Straight out of the gate, we have a pair of qualifiers: #151-152 elden ring and teacher. “Teacher” has a 150% CTR for the month. Next is #155 custom plush, then another pair: #160-161 love my boys baseball svg and kingdom hearts. Since we couldn’t recall ever seeing “love my boys baseball svg” before, we looked it up.

Huh! Not sure what to make of this one. But it’s certainly an excellent illustration of a point we made earlier. “Svg” has daunting competition but if you niche down, you can find products with promising stats and low competition. Competition can’t get much lower than this: only 36 Etsy US listings use this keyphrase. And you can’t beat that 150% Avg. CTR either!
Of course, all these stats are based on a single month of activity. Which means an eRank cardinal rule applies: Never act on a single-month spike! Add it to a Keyword List first. Let that tool track it for you for awhile. See where it goes from here.
It would also be prudent to check whether “love my boys baseball” has been trademarked by some troll. If not, and providing your Keyword List findings show promise, this might be the birth of a unicorn!
Speaking of intellectual property (IP), next up we have #176 bad bunny shirt. Then at #180 there’s leather. Now, 2025 turned out to be a leather year. (Some years just are; it’s easy to spot when you see as many lists of keywords as we do.) In reviewing the Etsy Category Top 100 lists for our Monthly Trends tool, we noticed leather’s still unusually popular. And now we see it’s got a 150% CTR for the month; might 2026 be a leather year too?
Wrapping up the Top 200, a trio is next: #190-192 puzzle, ice out, ice. Skip one and the final three all have 150%! These are #194 shoes, #197 purple, and #200 black.

Single-word color names are Roundup frequent flyers. That said, in this case “black” includes searches related to Black History Month and Black-owned shops. This January, both “black” and “black history” had 150% monthly CTRs. And as you can see above right, the two highest peaks for “black” have both occurred in January.
Whatever the case, that is one spectacular Avg. CTR stat: 149%! Paired with 15 months of consistently high search volume, an average CTR that high is rare.
Again we’re off like a shot with a qualifier in the first slot: ranked #201, it’s 40k. Then at #211 is batman. (Why “batman” is suddenly trending on Etsy now, who knows. But we noticed a bunch of Batman-related searches in the Category Top 100 lists this month.) And then we have #215 genshin.
Unlike all the IP so far, HoYoverse allows fans to create and sell fan-made merchandise for Genshin Impact. (You do need to follow specific guidelines.) So let’s take a quick look at “genshin.”

No gold badges for “genshin,” but that’s more than made up for by its Competition stat. Fewer than 20,000 listings have this keyword. For a game so incredibly and consistently popular, we’re surprised. Sure looks like a unicorn to us!
Especially given how enormously popular anime art is. But that’s difficult to sell without violating IP. With Genshin’s, as long as it adheres to their guidelines, you can use their characters in your product’s art. Which is a significant gift! Take the four anime-related searches in the current Top 1000. Three of them have 150% CTRs: #119 anime, #277 anime phone case, and #788 anime sticker.
Winding up our Roundup, we have a trio at #239-241: riftbound, cyberpunk, wedding planner. Then another leather search, #243 leather journal (150%!), followed by #245 gifts. And the last qualifier for this month is another high flyer: #250 stream overlays with 150%.
Hope some of these prove to be profitable leads for you!

]]>The post Beginner’s Guide to Selling Vintage on Etsy appeared first on eRank Help.
]]>Regardless of what brought you here, know that you’re definitely in the right place. Etsy continues to be one of the strongest platforms for selling vintage. And, with the right approach, it can support anything from a creative side hustle to a successful Etsy vintage business. Like most things in business, the more intention and effort you put into it, the more you’ll get out of it.
This guide will walk you through the key steps to learning how to sell vintage on Etsy and build a sustainable vintage business without overcomplicating the process. We’ll also share what’s trending in vintage for 2026 so you can source vintage goods with insight, not guesswork.
If you’re wondering what qualifies as vintage on Etsy, the platform defines vintage items as products that are at least 20 years old. Before you start listing, make sure your items meet this requirement and that you clearly and accurately describe their age, condition, and origin. For more details, you can review Etsy’s policies regarding selling vintage items here.
Customers in this category value transparency. Clear descriptions, accurate measurements, and honest notes about wear or imperfections help build trust and set the right expectations before a purchase. The same goes for photos. Showing details and flaws isn’t a negative in vintage. Rather, it’s part of what makes vintage goods feel authentic and collectible.
When possible, include information about the provenance (history of ownership) of your items, such as receipts, certificates, or letters from appraisers. Small details like these can strengthen buyer confidence and reinforce the value of your vintage listings.
One of the most important decisions you’ll make when learning how to sell vintage on Etsy is choosing your target audience, also referred to as your niche.
A niche is a clearly defined group of shoppers who are interested in the products you sell. Rather than offering “a bit of everything,” a focused Etsy shop helps shoppers quickly understand what you’re about and why they should trust you.
For example, instead of selling random vintage finds, you might focus on mid-century home decor for shoppers looking to add splashes of color and character to their homes. That clarity makes your sourcing, pricing, branding, marketing strategy, and overall selling on Etsy approach much easier.
It’s common for new sellers to worry that narrowing their focus will limit sales. In reality, the opposite is often true. Shops with a clear niche tend to convert better, attract repeat customers, and encourage buyers to purchase more than one item per order.
When choosing your niche, it helps to think about three things:
You don’t need to get this perfect from day one. Many sellers refine their niches as they learn. The important thing is to start with intention and create a shop that can grow over time.
Before we move deeper into branding and SEO, it’s worth looking at the vintage trends shaping buyer demand in 2026. Understanding vintage trends 2026 can help you position your shop more strategically and make sourcing decisions with greater confidence. While vintage trends evolve slowly, eRank’s 2026 Trends blog post highlights that shoppers are moving away from stark minimalism and towards nostalgia, comfort, and character, all areas where vintage shines.
Warm, lived-in interiors full of history and organic textures like rich wood, caned furniture, and hand-blown glass are trending, along with deeper colors like burgundy, forest green, and Patina Blue. You can explore how these tones connect to 2026 trends in this eRank blog post. There’s also growing interest in sculptural vintage jewelry, floral motifs, and collectible pieces with ethical origins and a story to tell.
These trends don’t replace your niche; they’re just a guide. They can give you ideas for what to look for when sourcing and how to position your listings. Tools like eRank’s Trend Buzz and Monthly Trends help you understand buyer interests, holiday and seasonal demand, and what’s gaining visibility across Etsy’s search engine.

Branding is something many vintage sellers overlook, especially in the beginning. Branding is more than just your shop’s logo or name. It’s the overall feeling that shoppers get when they interact with your Etsy shop. It’s how your listings look, how your orders arrive, how quickly you respond to messages, and how confident buyers feel purchasing from you.
The good news is that your brand doesn’t need to be perfect from day one. Most sellers refine it over time. That said, having a rough idea of the tone you want (and keeping it consistent across your listings, shop sections, and messages to customers) can really help. Little things like packaging, shipping times, and how you handle problems all add up, and they’re often what turn a one-time buyer into a repeat customer.
One of the most common mistakes new vintage sellers make is buying too much, too quickly. It’s easy to get excited and start buying everything that looks interesting. However, this often leads to excess inventory and higher upfront costs.
Starting small helps you understand what your customers actually respond to, while also giving you a better sense of pricing, profit margins, and time involved. Remember that sourcing and listing items involves more than just the item price. Travel, research, cleaning, photography, writing descriptions, SEO, Etsy fees, renewals…it all adds up.
Before sourcing and listing an item, ask yourself 1) if the item fits your niche, 2) if your ideal customer would want it, and 3) if it’s worth the effort. It’s also a good idea to think about shipping, especially for fragile or expensive items. Shipping costs for these items can quickly eat into your profits. This eRank blog post offers helpful tips to plan ahead. Because vintage items are often one-of-a-kind, setting clear shop policies around shipping and returns early on helps manage your buyers’ expectations and avoid misunderstandings later.
For many sellers, Etsy SEO for vintage feels intimidating at first. If you’re one of these sellers, you’ll be happy to know that your best strategy is simply to use the same words that your customers are typing into Etsy’s search bar. When your listings’ titles, descriptions, tags, attributes, and categories utilize those search terms, it’s easier for Etsy to show them to the right people.
eRank tools make this much easier. If you’re just starting out, the Keyword Tool is a great place to begin. Search any broad term, and you’ll be able to view related keywords based on how shoppers actually search. For example, searching “vintage vase” may lead to phrases like “home decor”, “ceramic vase”, “antique pottery,” or “collectible vase,” all of which you can use in your listings.

Good SEO doesn’t mean “stuffing” your shop’s listings with keywords. It means using clear, specific, and intentional wording for both Etsy’s algorithm and your customers.
All of this can feel like a lot to take in at first, especially if you’re new to selling on Etsy. Selling antiques and vintage products often means learning several things at once, but it doesn’t all need to happen immediately. Many successful vintage shops are built gradually, starting with a few carefully chosen listings and improving over time.
Your first listings don’t need to be perfect. It’s normal to adjust pricing, photos, keywords, and descriptions as you learn what resonates with your customers and how your shop performs. Getting started gives you access to real data, which is one of the most valuable tools you have as a seller.
By paying attention to how shoppers interact with your listings and gradually making small, data-backed SEO updates to your listings, you can continue refining your shop and growing your vintage business with confidence.

]]>The post How to Improve Your Etsy Shop: 10 Strategic Updates to Boost Sales appeared first on eRank Help.
]]>If sales have slowed, traffic feels inconsistent, or your shop simply feels “stale,” a strategic reset can make a measurable difference. Just like a physical workspace benefits from decluttering and reorganizing, your Etsy shop benefits from reviewing what’s working, removing what isn’t, and optimizing what has potential.
Today, we’ll walk through 10 practical ways to improve your Etsy shop and position it for stronger sales.
Before making changes, start with clarity. Any shop optimization should be guided by real numbers, not guesses or frustration. Understanding how your shop is currently performing will help you make smarter decisions about where to focus your time and energy.
You can use your Etsy Shop Manager (and tools like eRank) to review:
Look for patterns. Which keywords are driving traffic? Which listings consistently get sales? Data should direct your next steps.
Over time, many Etsy shops accumulate experimental listings and listings that were never fully optimized for one reason or another. While it’s tempting to keep them active, too many weak listings can dilute your shop’s overall performance.
If any listings in your shop exhibit any of the following characteristics, they may need a full listing reoptimization, higher-quality photos, or deactivation:
A focused, well-optimized catalog of products often performs better than a large, neglected one. On Etsy, quality wins over quantity.
Search behavior changes throughout the year. Keywords that performed well months ago may no longer be competitive or relevant. A seasonal Etsy SEO refresh helps ensure that your listings align with current shopper demand.
Use eRank’s Keyword Tool to:
Update your listings’ titles, tags, relevant attributes, and categories. Even small adjustments can improve your Etsy shop’s visibility in search results. Not sure where to start? Check out our Etsy SEO Basics guide for a practical overview of how Etsy search works.
Photos are often the first impression shoppers have of your product. If your listings’ images look outdated, inconsistent, or unclear, it may be costing you sales, even if their SEO is strong.
Ask yourself:
Consider adding lifestyle photos, size graphics, or short product videos. Strong visuals build immediate trust.
As your shop grows, your pricing strategy should evolve. Costs shift over time. This includes, but is not limited to, the costs of your materials, shipping, advertising, and Etsy fees. Since retail is notoriously slow during spring, it’s a convenient time to confirm that your pricing still supports healthy margins.
Review:
Pricing should reflect both value and sustainability. Healthy margins allow you to reinvest in growth.
Brand presentation matters more than ever. Shoppers are increasingly selective and cautious, and your shop’s appearance plays a major role in building credibility.
Ask yourself:
A polished, consistent brand identity signals that you’re running a serious business, not a carelessly planned “get rich quick” scheme.
Many sellers underestimate the role of product descriptions. While photos attract attention, descriptions help close the sale by answering questions and reducing uncertainty.
Make sure that your product descriptions:
Clear descriptions reduce confusion, returns, and customer service issues.
Policies often get set once and forgotten. However, outdated information can create unnecessary disputes or confusion for buyers.
Review your Etsy shop’s:
If you use production partners, confirm they are properly disclosed in every applicable listing. Transparency builds trust and protects your shop.
Optimizing your Etsy shop isn’t just about fixing past issues. It’s about preparing for future demand. Successful Etsy sellers think several months ahead.
Start researching keywords that are trending for:
Many sellers begin preparing seasonal listings 8–12 weeks before peak demand. Timing can significantly impact your products’ visibility and sales.
Refreshing your shop internally is important, but boosting Etsy sales also requires visibility outside of Etsy search. A seasonal marketing campaign reset can help reintroduce your shop to potential buyers.
Consider:
Marketing does not need to be complex. It needs to be consistent and intentional.
Before wrapping up your shop’s refresh, make sure that you have:
☐ Reviewed your shop’s performance data
☐ Updated or deactivated any weak listings
☐ Refreshed your shop’s Etsy SEO with relevant keywords
☐ Replaced any low-quality product photos with better ones
☐ Checked your items’ pricing margins
☐ Updated your shop’s branding
☐ Strengthened your listings’ descriptions
☐ Reviewed your shop policies
☐ Planned some seasonal listings
☐ Created a marketing plan
Small improvements across multiple areas can create noticeable results.
Spring cleaning your Etsy shop does not require a full overhaul.
Start with your data. Improve what’s already working. Reevaluate what isn’t. The sellers who grow consistently treat Etsy listing optimization as an ongoing process, not a one-time task. Taking the time to improve your Etsy shop can keep your business fresh and current.
Refresh strategically.
Stay focused.
Build intentionally.

]]>The post NextGenModeling Case Study appeared first on eRank Help.
]]>When Justin launched his Etsy shop, NextGenModeling, he had $700, one 3D printer, and no experience in e-commerce or Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Less than two years later, he’s in the top 2.5% of Etsy sellers, with over 5,000 sales, a 4.8-star rating, and a growing print farm.
Here’s how he did it.
Justin sells 3D printed functional decor, desk accessories, and game-inspired items. But when he first launched, his biggest challenge wasn’t product quality; it was visibility.
I could design and print great products, but I didn’t know how to title or tag them in a way that would bring consistent traffic.
With no background in SEO and competing against experienced sellers, Justin quickly realized guessing wouldn’t work.
He needed data.
Justin turned to eRank to understand what people were actually searching for.
Instead of naming products based on what “sounded good,” he began building listings around searchable, validated keywords.
His core workflow became:
After using eRank, my listings became much more intentional. Instead of random titles and tags, everything serves a purpose.
He also began validating product ideas before designing and printing, reducing wasted time and increasing the likelihood of success.
Justin doesn’t use eRank every day but he uses it strategically:
When I use it, it’s powerful because it helps me make confident decisions instead of guessing.
By combining:
Justin created steady, predictable growth.
His traffic and visibility became more consistent, and revenue followed.

All in under two years.
Justin’s advice is straightforward:
Treat Etsy like a real business. Track what works, double down on proven keywords, reinvest into better tools and equipment, and stay consistent even when growth feels slow.
And about eRank?
