Billing and plans

Choose from a free plan or multiple paid plans to suit your needs.

Billing

  • A paid plan applies only to the workspace it’s purchased for.

  • If you need more AI Credits, Seats, or Knowledge Bases (KBs) than included, you can purchase add-ons.

  • Billing is available on a monthly or yearly basis.

  • All billing cycles start on the 1st of each month.

  • This applies whether you’re on monthly or yearly billing.

Mid-Month Purchases or Charges

If you purchase a plan or add-on partway through the month, you will be charged only for the remaining days of that billing period.

For example, if you purchase a $50 plan on September 15th, you will be charged $25 for the remainder of the month. Starting October 1st, the full $50 will be billed.

Manage your billing

To access your billing, navigate to the Workspace button in the top-left corner of your screen, then select Settings > Billing. From here you can:

  • View and change your plan and add-ons.

  • Update your payment information.

  • Update the billing email.

  • Update payment methods.

  • View billing history, past invoices and charges.

  • Set credits on auto-recharge

  • See the next billing cycle information and charges.

  • We will also show if a charge is failed or past due.

Change or Cancel a subscription

Workspace admins can change your billing plan by navigating to your Workspace area and selecting Settings > Plans & Pricing.

To cancel your subscription, navigate to your Workspace area and select Settings > Billing > Payment Methods > Open Stripe Portal > Cancel subscription.

Subscription updates take effect at the end of the subscription period. If you are on a monthly plan, this will be at the end of the billing month. If you are on a yearly plan, this will be at the end of the billing year.

We do not provide refunds for cancellations mid-subscription. If you are uncertain you are ready to commit to a full year, we recommend starting on a monthly plan first. You can switch to yearly at a later date when you are ready to commit longer term and take advantage of the discounted rates.

When cancelling a subscription:

  • Nothing will be deleted automatically.

  • You'll be moved to free plan.

  • You'll be asked to remove members or KBs if they're out of limit of the free plan.

FAQs

What if I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel?
All changes are prorated automatically, so you only pay for what you use.
What can I use my credits for?
Credits are flexible and can be used across different features in InstantDocs: • AI Recorder → 1 credit = 1 recording • Voiceover (Standard voices) → 1 credit = 1 minute • Voiceover (Professional voices) → 1 credit = 30 seconds • AI Search → 1 credit = 1 search
Do credits expire?
No, credits you purchase as add-ons never expire until they’re used.
Can I switch from monthly to yearly (or vice versa)?
Yes, you can switch anytime.
Do you offer refunds?
No, we don’t offer refunds.
If I remove an add-on, when does it stop being billed?
Immediately
Can I purchase add-ons in bulk?
Yes, you can.
Is there a free plan?
Yes, we offer a free plan.
Where can I view my invoices?
Navigate to Settings > Administration > Billing > Billing history
What happens if I run out of credits?
You’ll need to purchase add-ons to continue using credits.
Can I buy credits without upgrading my plan?
No, credits can only be added as part of your plan or via add-ons.
Are credits shared across my team/workspace?
Yes, credits are shared across the workspace.
How can I check how many credits I have left?
Visit your Billing page in Settings or from the sidebar to see your remaining credits.
How do I access my Workspace settings?
To access your Workspace, click the Workspace dropdown located in the top-left corner of your InstantDocs dashboard. To access your Workspace settings, open the Settings option found inside the top-left Workspace dropdown of your InstantDocs dashboard.
