The focus of the series is to engage individuals/groups who have experience with AR/VR/MR and help them create their own mixed reality application with the Microsoft HoloLens.

Judging Criteria

  • Originality
    Is it a new use case? An original design?
  • Use of HoloLens Features
    Gaze? Gesture? Voice? Spatial Mapping? Spatial Sound? Visual Indicators?
  • Technical Difficulty
    Custom shaders? Any technical issue they overcame?
  • Use of Microsoft Services & API
    Azure? Cognitive Services? Simplygon?
  • Bonus - Polish Points
    How polished. UI features? Keep in mind though team size can affect this. Smaller teams are naturally at a disadvantage so balance that when judging this category
