About the Challenge

Welcome to Horror Hacks, a hackathon where we mix creativity with spookiness! This event challenges participants to create an eerie project, choosing one of three tracks!

Get Started

Pick out a track, find a team (or go solo), and brainstorm what you're creating before finally building!

Requirements

What to Build

Your project should be spooky, whether your code, design, or storytelling creates that experience! You can choose one of the tracks or create your own experience:

  • Survive the Night → Create a horror survival game in any style (video game, board game, VR experience, etc.).

  • Cursed Code → Build a digital experience that feels “haunted.”

  • Wild Card → Submit any project with a spooky twist.

What to Submit

Submit a video up to 4 minutes long (which can include audio) where you go through your project!
