Welcome to the coolest hackathon ever! Brought to you by BCIT Computing Club!
Friday: We’ll kick things off promptly at 5:30 PM with our Opening Ceremony in SE2. Make sure to arrive a bit early, get checked in, and settle in for an awesome start to the hackathon. The topic/theme/idea will be announced, and there will be a link posted to register teams! (Make sure to think of a sick team name too). If you don't have a team, this will be the perfect chance to find one, we will have a table to help you folks find each other!
Saturday: We’ll be hacking all day! Lunch and dinner and plenty of snacks are provided, we’ll be staying overnight in the Great Hall (optional, but I'll be honest, it is THE winning strategy). We’ll have more snacks, coffee, and energy drinks flowing all night long, plus fun games and challenges where you can win exclusive merch.
Sunday: Breakfast will be served early. Final submissions are due at 11:00 AM, followed by judging and final presentations. We’ll wrap up with the winner announcements at 1:30 PM, where the first place team will take home $1,000 in cash, (we have more than a couple of other cool prizes and awards too).
Please note:
If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know as soon as possible, you can reply to this email or let us know in the discord server!
For any other questions or concerns before or during the event, the Discord is the best place to ask, the organizing team and mentors will be active all weekend.
We can’t wait to see your creativity, innovation, and most importantly your programming skills in action!
Requirements
Please make sure your project includes a proper README file. It should contain:
-
A brief description of your project, what it is and what it does (ask a mentor if you need help)
-
A short explanation of how it works, including a summary of your implementation or tech stack
-
Clear instructions on how to run your app, mention any setup steps, commands, dependencies, etc.
We’ll be going through and running every single app to make sure the code works as intended, so double check that your README makes it easy for us to do that.
Thanks!
