Hackathon Rules and Guidelines

 

1. Eligibility:

  • The hackathon is open to individuals who are 18 years or older at the time of participation.

  • Participants may join as individuals or as part of a team (up to a maximum of 4 members per team).

  • Participants must register for the hackathon through the official registration process.

2. Project Development:

  • Projects must be developed entirely during the hackathon period.

  • Teams can work on any theme or idea related to technology, provided it complies with the event guidelines.

  • All code, designs, and assets must be original or properly credited if utilizing third-party resources.

  • Teams are encouraged to leverage both Web2 and Web3 technologies, with mandatory integration of the Concordium chain for Web3 projects.

3. Conduct and Collaboration:

  • Participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and maintain a positive, inclusive environment throughout the hackathon.

  • Collaboration between teams is permitted and encouraged. However, each team must submit their unique project.

4. Submissions:

  • Each team or individual must adhere to the submission requirements outlined by the hackathon organizers.

  • Submissions must be made within the specified deadline. Late submissions will not be considered.

5. Intellectual Property and Rights:

  • Participants retain ownership and intellectual property rights to their projects.

  • By participating, participants grant event organizers the right to showcase their projects for promotional purposes.

6. Judging Criteria:

  • Projects will be evaluated based on innovation, technical complexity, practicality, user experience, and alignment with the hackathon theme.

  • The decisions of the judges are final and binding.

7. Code of Conduct:

  • Participants must abide by the event's Code of Conduct, promoting a safe, inclusive, and harassment-free environment for all attendees.

  • Any violation of the Code of Conduct may result in disqualification and removal from the event premises or virtual platforms.

8. Disqualification:

  • Any project or participant found in violation of the rules, submission guidelines, or Code of Conduct may be disqualified at the discretion of the organizers.

  • Plagiarism or misrepresentation of work will lead to immediate disqualification.

  • Participants must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in the development of their projects.

10. Event Organizers' Rights:

  • The event organizers reserve the right to amend the rules, guidelines, or schedule if necessary, with proper communication to participants.

11. Acknowledgment:

  • By participating in the hackathon, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by all the rules, guidelines, and terms set forth by the organizers.
