Overview
SolutionHealth is comprised of Elliot Health System, Southern New Hampshire Health, and Home Health & Hospice Care (HHHC). SolutionHealth began with a vision of integrating services across Elliot Health System and Southern New Hampshire Health, and in 2022, welcomed Home Health & Hospice Care to the organization.
Over time, we have learned a great deal about our ability to integrate each of the three healthcare systems into a regionally coordinated delivery system and have recognized that the three organizations cannot be integrated in a way that enhances their missions. Under consideration is the proposed disaffiliation of SolutionHealth, to return Elliot Health System, Southern New Hampshire Health, and Home Health & Hospice Care to independent, board-governed institutions.
Elliot Health System, Southern New Hampshire Health, and Home Health & Hospice Care have provided the absolute highest quality care to our communities for more than 130 years. That longevity remains rooted in a deep sense of responsibility for continuously improving how they serve local families, friends, and neighbors. Regardless of any change, Elliot Health System, Southern New Hampshire Health, and Home Health & Hospice Care are committed to continuing to provide high-quality healthcare to their local communities both now, and well into the future.
SolutionHealth Services and Staffing
The high-quality clinical services that our communities need and deserve continue to be seamlessly provided by Elliot Health System, Southern New Hampshire Health, and Home Health & Hospice Care.
SolutionHealth previously provided shared administrative services such as Finance, Revenue Cycle, Human Resources, Marketing/Communications, Legal/Risk Management/Compliance, and other related functions across all health systems and their affiliates. Presently, except for Information Technology Services, those shared services functions and staff have been reassigned to Elliot Health System, Southern New Hampshire Health, and Home Health & Hospice Care as independently functioning entities.
The IT Services function and personnel remain under SolutionHealth, and are vital across the organization.
State Filing & Regulatory Review
On July 14, 2025, the SolutionHealth, Elliot Health System, and Southern New Hampshire Health boards jointly filed a proposal with the New Hampshire Department of Justice Charitable Trusts Unit (CTU) that explains why disaffiliation is in the best interest of the communities they serve and how they propose moving forward.
The CTU has confirmed two public hearings as part of its standard regulatory review of proposed major transactions involving healthcare charitable trusts, such as this one. These hearings will offer an opportunity for community members to ask questions and share feedback, and they will complement our open exchange with the CTU regarding this proposal.
