Image license: CC-BY, source: https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/franckmichel\/14933044008\/<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The 2025 IPTC Spring Meeting will be held in <strong>Juan les Pins, France<\/strong> (a neighbourhood of Antibes, near Nice) from <strong>Wednesday 14th to Friday 16th May 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Meeting Venue<\/h2>\n<p>This year&#8217;s meeting will be held at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marriott.com\/en-us\/hotels\/jlpar-ac-hotel-ambassadeur-antibes-juan-les-pins\/overview\/\">AC Hotel Ambassadeur Juans les Pins<\/a>, a 4-star hotel in Juans les Pins, near Antibes in the south of France.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting will be co-located with the <a href=\"https:\/\/cepic.org\/congress\">CEPIC Congress 2025<\/a>. The CEPIC event runs from Monday 12th to Wednesday 14th May, and the IPTC Spring Meeting goes from Wednesday 14th to Friday 16th. CEPIC is the &#8220;Centre of the European Picture Industry&#8221;, an association of companies in the image licensing and distribution business.<\/p>\n<h2>Event details<\/h2>\n<p>As well as updates from IPTC Working Groups such as the <strong>News Architecture Working Group,<\/strong> <strong>Photo Metadata Working Group,<\/strong> <strong>Video Metadata Working Group<\/strong>, <strong>NewsCodes Working Group<\/strong> and <strong>Sports Content Working Group<\/strong>, we will hear from exciting projects in the media and startup space from members, invited companies and startups.<\/p>\n<h2>Agenda<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"p1\">Day 1: Wednesday 14 May (located at CEPIC 2025, Palais des Congr\u00e8s)<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>09.00: Introduction and welcome from Brendan Quinn, IPTC Managing Director and Robert Schmidt-Nia, IPTC Chair<\/li>\n<li>10.00: CEPIC \/ IPTC Panel: <em>The insurmountable problem of generative AI Opt-out<\/em><\/li>\n<li>11.00: CEPIC \/ IPTC Panel: <em>How to license content for AI training?<\/em><\/li>\n<li>11.55: IPTC Lightning Talks<\/li>\n<li>14.00: CEPIC \/ IPTC session: <em>Media Provenance and C2PA Update<\/em><\/li>\n<li>15.30: IPTC Photo Metadata Interactive Workshop<\/li>\n<li>18.30: CEPIC Industry Party<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Including buffet lunch, coffee breaks and plenty of networking time for members and guests to get to know each other better<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\">Day 2: Thursday 15 May (located at the AC Ambassadeur Hotel)<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>09.00 Welcome from IPTC Chair and Managing Director.
