Congratulations on opening iRacing Arcade for the first time! Ready to begin your iRacing Arcade career? Let’s jump right in!

First things first, upon loading the game for the first time, you’ll be asked to complete the Licensing Exam. Utilizing the Fiat 500 at Maple Ridge, complete at lap under the time limit to pass. Once you’ve acquired your license, you’ll be welcomed to the main menu for the first time.

The top option in the main menu is the iRacing Arcade Career. Once you start, you won’t want to put it down. We apologize in advance.

It makes sense that following earning your license in that car, that the Fiat 500 Challenge is your first step on the ladder. Everyone starts with their own Fiat 500 to customize inside the starting Garage, a.k.a. the Barn. This is your starting point. Win or lose, it will only go up from here.

Before competing in your first race, it’s important to get familiar with this Race Week menu. On the top left, you’ll find your Team Level. Everyone starts at Level 1, and by achieving goals, you’ll add points to that experience bar, increasing your level as you continue your career. The highest level you can achieve at this point is Level 20. We’ll cover goals and advancing levels in a few weeks.

The top right displays your current Money level and Car count. Everyone starts off with the Fiat 500 in your Barn. You’ll unlock more cars as you go along. If you do well enough in some of the earlier championships, those cars will come as free gifts, however, later in the game, you’ll need to buy your own cars or run with the rentals.

You’ll also upgrade that Barn into bigger and better Garage spaces, which allow you to have more cars in your inventory. The cars that you own will be able to be equipped with Boosts before races, those boosts acquired through adding other buildings to your Campus, such as the R&D Center, or the Engine Shop. We’ll cover those later as well!

On the bottom row, you’ll be able to visit your Garage and customize your cars and drivers. Once you get money in the bank, you can also purchase new cars to add to your stable. Not only that, but in customizing those cars and your own driver, you can also purchase new suits, helmets, liveries, and more to make your team your own!

If you didn’t already see the Goals through clicking on the Team Level, you can also access Goals on the bottom row as well. To the right of that is the Calendar, which shows the season overview, displaying all of the racing that you can jump in on currently. Each season works on a 13-week schedule, with 12 weeks of official racing and a bonus 13th week special event… if you know, you know.

Once you’ve customized your character, changed the colors on your car, and most importantly, set your number (just my opinion, but I didn’t want to be a zero!), it’s time to get out there and race!

Welcome to iRacing Arcade, the latest creation from the minds at Original Fire Games in conjunction with iRacing Studios!

A fun, approachable, and unique racing experience for all to enjoy, iRacing Arcade not only has a number of officially licensed tracks and vehicles, but also a vast career mode, complete with a customizable campus where each player can create their own legacy in motorsports.

There’s loads to do, including the crux of the entire game: racing! Sprints, endurances races, or somewhere in between, there are so many different ways to race. More than anything, we hope this new game brings out the smiles.

iRacing Arcade features three main modes to race: Career, Free Play, and Multiplayer. Players can also customize their characters and cars through the Garage, return to saved replays through the Replay tab, and change your gameplay through the Settings tab.

Your iRacing Arcade Career is the focal point to your experience. While players can take part in any car at any track through Free Mode and Multiplayer, utilizing “Rental Cars” for cars not yet owned, those cars will become yours as you progress through your Career.

In the vast Career Mode, players will start at the bottom, with a garage barely able to fit a car, eventually working their way up to the top, with top level, palace-style garages, as well as R&D Centers, Engine Shops, Chassis Shops, and your very own Team HQ. You’ll be able to customize your campus, placing buildings and other decorations, including trophies you collect, all around your plot of land. Make your iRacing Arcade campus your own!

Race in the many licensed racing series, including IMSA and F4, in the multiple licensed cars, such as Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and the FIAT 500, and on tracks ranging from Imola, to Miami, to Kyalami, and many more in between. Increase your Team Level by completing Goals, earn money by competing in races, and even hire drivers to race for your budding dynasty of a team.

But, if you just want to kick back and enjoy some custom racing, players can make their own events in Free Play, where you can choose the car and track, how many laps, and tons more for your own custom experience. In Multiplayer, race against friends in Custom Lobbies, or try to put your name at the top of the Time Attack leaderboards! There’s more to come as well, so be sure to stay tuned for further updates,

Steam release priced at $24.99; console releases due in summer 2026 

iRacing Arcade, the all-new arcade-style racing title from iRacing Studios and Original Fire Games, will receive its long-awaited release on Steam on Tuesday, March 3. Priced at $24.99, iRacing Arcade will serve as a fun, inexpensive entry point for gamers of all ages to fall in love with racing and become new fans of the sport. A console release for PlayStation and Xbox will follow this summer.

The heart of iRacing Arcade is an extensive career mode that sees players progress from the bottom levels of road racing up to premier vehicle classes like the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s GTP class and Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. Drivers will adapt to an all-new style of racing that puts fun first, combining an adorable art style with the realistic fuel burn and tire wear that iRacing Studios products are known for.

Console releases planned for later in 2026

After an extremely successful Demo on Steam, iRacing Studios and Original Fire Games have made the decision to delay the full release, previously scheduled for December 2. The development team fully expects the game to be available on Steam within the next 90 days. Featuring an exciting new style of driving and art that is fun to pick up and play for gamers of all ages, the new title will be $24.99 on Steam at launch.

Having received incredible feedback from many of those who raced the Demo (over 100,000 downloads), the team plans to use the time for further playtesting and additional polish on gameplay and career mode.

“We will be taking the extra time to ensure the experience meets the quality you expect from an iRacing Studios title,” said Steve Myers, executive vice president, iRacing.com. “The feedback from the demo has been tremendous and we want to be sure we incorporate as much of what the players want into the full release. We are confident that the small delay will result in a much-improved gaming experience. We are not ready to announce the updated release date just yet, but will share as soon as we are confident. The game is very close to being ready, so we fully expect to launch very soon.”

iRacing Arcade takes some of the world’s premier cars and circuits and converts them into pocket-sized versions designed for maximum fun. iRacing Arcade, the exciting new collaboration between iRacing and Original Fire Games, will release its demo on Steam on Monday, October 13. To celebrate the release, the iRacing Arcade logos will appear on the #85 JDC-Miller MotorSports Porsche 963 GTP competing at this weekend’s IMSA Motul Petit Le Mans with iRacing-to-reality driver Max Esterson behind the wheel.

The iRacing Arcade demo will give gamers their first look at the game’s fast, fun, and approachable style of driving. Take the wheel of the officially licensed Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car on Tsukuba Circuit for a quick race to get a feel for what you’ll see in the full game experience. Tire wear, fuel burn, and damage will all be active for a racing experience unlike any you’ve ever played before.

Esterson is one of the top iRacers in the world, having won numerous championships on the sim and serving as tutor for real-world racing legends like Scott Dixon and Richard Westbrook. He channeled his virtual success into the real world competing for the last two years in FIA Formula 2 and FIA Formula 3,  with successes in the past including big wins in both the Formula Ford Festival and Walter Hayes Trophy, two of the biggest Formula Ford events in the world, before helping iRacing bring his Ray FF1600 into the sim. Now, Esterson will partner with Tijmen van Der Helm and Neel Jani in the IMSA season finale.
