omitting the NEXT clause for autoextensible datafiles is not a good idea. The increment defaults to 1 single block.
Just imagine how many ‘attach block’ commands must be executed when a table needs to claim an extend!
Always use something like: … autoextend on NEXT 64M maxsize 8G;
