Starting Salary

The salary for Recruit candidates starts at $46,885 and rises to $62,992 per year ($64,992 per year with a qualified bachelor’s degree) after one year of service with additional incentive payments for bilingual officers, college degrees, merit pay, etc.

STUDENT INTERNSHIP

  • Gain practical, professional experience in a law enforcement environment.
  • Serve in one of three program seasons: Spring, Summer, or Fall. Each season lasts approximately 12 – 15 weeks. The Student Internship Program team must approve any schedule variations.
  • Be expected to work full time, 35-40 hours per week.
  • Obtain optional educational credit.
