Kids Up Front envisions a world in which all kids have access to enriching experiences. We promote social inclusion by removing barriers to community venues and events. Our innovative program offers free tickets to theatre performances, concerts, sporting events, museums, and more. Attendance at these events fosters feelings of belonging in thousands of children each year, empowering them to safely explore new interests and experience all our communities have to offer.

The Opportunity 

We are looking for a passionate, dynamic, and bilingual Program Coordinator to join the Kids Up Front Toronto program team.

The Program Coordinator (Eastern Canada) executes the day-to-day distribution of experiences for the Toronto, Ottawa, and Atlantic chapters, including all data entry and record management. Working with the Executive Directors, you will develop and implement strategies to increase the number of experiences available to Kids Up Front.

Well suited candidates should be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with external partners. If you love to contribute to your community, work independently, have strong decision-making skills, and exercise good judgment, this job may be for you!

Kids Up Front is seeking candidates to join our team on a part-time basis. This position is expected to work 20 hours per week, with flexible hours. The ideal candidate will be available to contribute hours 5 days a week. Some evening and weekend work may be required in place of regularly scheduled hours. This will be a virtual setting and candidates are invited to apply from any location.

Tasks and Responsibilities 

Ticket Distribution and Reporting (Ottawa & Atlantic)

  • Process ticket and experience donations following Kids Up Front in/out procedures.
  • Communicate and coordinate programming opportunities to ticket contacts within Community Agencies.
  • Monitor ticket distribution and follow-up with ticket recipients after events to receive feedback materials.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and management for all donations of tickets, experiences, and funds.
  • Increase the number of experience opportunities available to Kids Up Front in Atlantic Canada, Ottawa, and Toronto through outreach.

Client Service (Ottawa & Atlantic)

  • Engage with Community Agencies through email and telephone communication, including promoting current program opportunities.
  • Circulate donor stewardship materials to ticket and financial donors, emphasizing the impact of the Kids Up Front program.

Marketing & Publicity (Ottawa & Atlantic & Toronto)

  • Social media content creation, posting, and online engagement with our network.
  • Manage our website and assist with updates as required.

 Other Responsibilities 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

Skills and Knowledge 

  • Bilingualism is essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French & English.
  • Possess exceptional and accurate data entry skills.
  • Organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience providing customer service and building relationships.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a small, dynamic team.
  • Willingness to learn, take on tasks that may be new to you, and pitch in where needed, even tasks considered outside of your job description.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics is a strong asset. Experience working with Teams and other Microsoft tools is also an asset.

  • Part-time at 20 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be available 5 days per week.

  • Starting at $20.00 per hour
