I don’t use it often the app, so updates are often run “by hand”, but up to now I’ve never found myself in a situation like your. Well, anyway I’m going to follow this project and see how it evolves.

It’s mixed. Latest detected the wrong version of 1Password that I had installed. It kept telling there was an update when there wasn’t.

I might use Latest to detect for possible updates but I’ll run the updates for each app through the apps themselves.

It’s been decades since I’ve used Thunderbird. Once corporate America drank the Microsoft Office koolaid and Apple Mail become good enough I stopped using Thunderbird. It was a default on all my Linux desktops.

I’ve never used slack at work. Most large American corporations are using Microsoft Teams.
